Hello lovelies
I had an amazing time. Wonderful scenery, good conversations, met someone lovely (it may not go anywhere but good to be reminded such things happen), great music...
I feel so much better and I think I'm getting a clearer idea of how and where I want to be.
More tomorrow - must go catch up with other people's diaries

YAY! Welcome back! There are deep holes left when certain people don't update, and you're definitely on that list!
So happy to hear you had a great time and met someone with potential.
Holidays are great for giving clearer ideas!

Caught that! So not just a holiday chap, but a dance class one, too...
Hello, by the way. *waves*0 -
Awww thanks you gorgeous bunch :A
Dance class guy brought a 'friend' from his work last time which probably explains the mystery of a single bloke turning up to a dance class on his own :rotfl: so I think he's off the list.
As for the other, who knows... all I can tell so far is that he doesn't check FB very often!
I still haven't sorted my YNAB yet but must do it tomorrow so I can face up to it before payday .
Saw Jurassic World which ranks as Silliest Film Ever but was a lot of fun. And this is just hilarious http://www.popsci.com/pratting-best-thing-social-media-right-now

It's a very mini musing indeed, but haven't had one for ages and wanted to put this thinking somewhere before I go to sleep and lose it!
One of the things I've realised coming back from holiday is that I'm in a rather good place at present. I have an OK job, sufficient money for everything but a house in this ridiculously expensive area, and not one but two careers that I find both interesting and fulfilling. As well as a whole bunch of side projects.
I also have a lovely group of friends. I don't see many of them often enough because they're scattered around, and I want to make a deliberate effort to change that. I also want to make new friends for the simple reason that you can never have too many real friends and also in the hope that I will find people who live nearby. (Or in the area I may want to move to. But that's a whole other post.)
And the only thing that's really still on my to do list is 'meet someone wonderful'.
I can't control who I meet, but I can make sure I have time in my life to enable me to go out and be sociable. I can't control whether people like me, but I can build a life I love so that I am relaxed and happy and doing things I love so likely to bump into people who also love the same things. I can't control the national economic silliness that means I may not be able to buy a house with a spare bedroom, but I can prioritise needing time and space for the people I love now over the supposed need to get myself welded to the housing ladder.
I'm not going to blinkin well buy a house round here til I'm certain I want one. I'm going to rent somewhere that has a decent kitchen so I can cook, a decent bathroom so I can wallow in bubbles every week, and space for friends to stay. And I'll figure it out from there.

Also, I think I'm starting to get a clearer picture of what needs to go on my vision board. Which is currently still sitting in a bag waiting to be sorted and hung up.
So please nag me about it this week
