Yes all good thanks Sam - I got paid early as it clashed with the bank hol, so am just sorting YNAB.

I've lost patience with the fleabay pile and it may turn into another charity shop donation at this rate!

Not feeling at all guilty about the perfume though I'm afraid - I've dithered about it for probably an entire year and finally ran out of the sample. Combined with the 'what do I want to enjoy my holiday' and a cute new guy at dance class I decided it was time to just go for it. And it's wonderful :T

Ditto here - got paid on Fri - yay! but means june will seem like a longer month....boooo.

My fleabay pile is not moving, relisted some things several times that have not sold and frankly can't quite summon up the enthusiasm to do the rest atm.

I've just sorted YNAB after payday and the weekend and it's all still looking OK.

It was a bit of a spendy weekend as I went walking and had a lovely lunch out. I also started thinking about getting ready for my holiday and have got my lashes tinted and picked up the perfume I love. I've budgeted to get my hair trimmed and then realised that I probably won't have time beforehand, and it isn't desperately needed so that can perhaps wait til next month.

Debt wise, I have clothes and household things on one card to pay off but as I cleared the statement last time, there is nothing to pay just yet. (It's a lovely feeling to get a zero statement telling me I don't need to pay anything!) I've budgeted to clear this as soon as the statement arrives, but figured the cash may as well be in my bank account in the meantime.

I've made a payment to the 0% 'College Card' to take off a small chunk, and have budgeted £100 for payment at the end of June - this will reduce it down to £715. The costs currently on there are fees, two professional memberships and travel for study in June so all sensible and as I'm using the separate card I can't mix up any other costs with it.

I've declared June otherwise a payment holiday so that I can go on actual holiday without stressing over it all and tracking the budget all the time. It's unlikely I will be doing anything madly extravagant so I will just look at things again when I get back and if I can afford to pay more then I will.

Fleabay selling has rather slowed down as I've been out the last couple of weekends and not got round to photos - will try and get some taken next weekend, but then it will all have to wait til I get back from holiday anyhow.

    Holiday :j:j so excited :j:T

:/ better to get to it than have a late payment charge though.

Nothing much happening here... trying to find a discount on the backpack I want, and did manage to get two bags of stuff to the charity shop today. Hopefully taking the rest tomorrow so my car will finally look presentable :rotfl:

Well an update is due... I have finally faced YNAB after buying all the various things needed for my holiday.

I think _pale_ about sums it up...

I've bought a backpack, as I've wanted one for ages so I can do multi-day walking trips as long weekends, and anyway I don't have a suitcase that will fit enough stuff for a full week. (Yes, this does tell you how long it is since I've been on holiday.) It will get used and I love it already, I had forgotten how much freer it feels to head off with a backpack than dragging a silly suitcase... and having it will mean I do go away more... but I'm not going to post the price tag because it scared me! I've also picked up skincare stuff etc in advance as there is only one weekend this month I could go shopping, so that has hit the budget before it would have done otherwise. Flights are booked, and I've found the cheapest rail fare to the airport but there's no need to buy it just yet.

The bright side is of course that because I have faced up to things now, I've made adjustments and the budget doesn't look as bad as it could have been. The car fund was already over what I need so I've let myself off paying into that this month and also cut down the car repayment to make a nice round number on the total. I am still not sure quite what the week will end up costing me as we will probably stay with friends some nights, so will just sort it all out when I get back. Part of me is absolutely :eek: at spending this amount of money on something that isn't rent or education, and the rest of me is pointing out how much I need and am looking forward to this! I am also possibly overreacting given that there is £400 still in the pot which should be sufficient to keep me fed and entertained for 5 days :rotfl: see how totally out of practice I am at this? :D so it might not all get spent anyway.

I am sooooo looking forward to going away :j:j:j
