  • Sigh - still untangling.  It never really ends does it?
Having finally actually read the small CC bill - which was in quarantine :D til today - I need to a) get those returns to the post office and b) do something about tracking my accounts better.  The situation is better than I initially thought - there are other returns waiting to come through on that account - but it means February pay money allocated to the 0% now needs to go to the small card rather than the 0%.  Hey ho, it's all debt and at least it's heading in the right direction.
This does make me think again about new accounts though, especially as I also spotted the Customer Union direct debit coming up.  I feel obliged to support it while with Co-op, but it does cancel out several month's reward payments, and I've been reminded that St@rling don't charge transaction fees for USD payments which also probably takes up another few quid a year.

  • Sunday shuffle report...
Technically overspent already, as bought a couple of gifts now instead of waiting til March - birthday and Mother's Day.  I could reshuffle money back out of savings pots but won't unless I really feel I need to next payday.
Still no way of predicting quite what can be done when on the house... so no way to budget for it!
Plans for March... survive exam, more house sorting, prep for puppy  :)

Already busted March's budget by booking house stuff (safety related so allowed) and ordering curtains :D- still within March pay though, as yet...

I guess that's true - and I was expecting to spend all this in November!

We're currently looking at the next big project again, was supposed to be done last year but got usurped by the need for a new window which then meant the front of the house downstairs got redone (front door had been on the list for some time but made sense to get it all done at once). Part of me wants it done, part of me cba with the upheaval and stress of getting quotes, moving everything to have it done,  people doing it and the invariable mess.

It is a PITA isn't it.  But the state of this place having not been able to do anything at all... I'm getting a bit worried I'll just get used to it and never get it sorted, bit like will I ever wear actual work clothes again...

So I finally got into the Ethical Consumer ratings and it does not appear Co-op Bank deserve my business for ethical reasons!  They're only in the middle and actually worse than my other account provider!
