I applied for and got a store card as it saved me £15 and will get me another fiver, completely forgetting the plan for a 0% card. But think I will keep the limit down on the store card to very minimal, and reduce the limit on my current CC who have just offered me an increase. The sofa can go on the current card and just be paid off with the following month's money, and I will only get a 0% if I really feel I need it later.

We looked at the dark grey too when we got ours as have quite a lot of grey accents in the living room...then got brave and opted for the teal.
There are places online that make non Ikea colours for the sofas too, I guess they're prob pretty easy to make a pattern out of if you have the loose covers. I haven't ever used any but here's a link to one I found on Google.

I love the teal but decided against having teal or duck egg in every room... so the grey-beige will work for now!Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress

Thinking out loud/ on screen...
March 'spare' money is kinda spoken for. April will need to be partly used for van stuff (it still has a small thing that needs fixing, unless I can figure it out myself) and a trip away. May is not yet spoken for, nor is June... but if I want to go away in June, that basically needs two months to cover moggie boarding and trip costs (what with ferries etc). Possibly sofa in March to be paid for in April, since June costs can go on CC and be actually paid with July money?

Hello Rosa,
All areas sound like they're still progressing, which is good. It's lovely planning holidays so good to hear it's something you'll be getting used to. The winteer months are great for making better plans for the year.

I'm in a tizzy, that's where I am! I got the job!! :eek::eek::D:j_party__party_
Totally convinced I wasted my time interviewing, binned the callback info and only finished filling in stuff to claim the expenses. Then got an email saying I'd got it! :rotfl: Already accepted in principle but still waiting on info for exactly what I'd be paid and where the work will be - I know a general area but not a precise town.
Holiday plans are totally up in the air and so are house plans, as I don't yet know what the situation will be with money and so what my options will be to rent or sell, or with my annual leave. But I'm not upset about the holidays because all being well, by the autumn I will be a whole lot closer to those destinations all of the time! Like, the right side of the wall!
I'll do a shuffle soon as I need to sort through things. Have paid the CC today though, and transferred money to one of the extra accounts, so everything should run ok in the meantime. I'm still way overspent this month, but I no longer need to buy a sofa

I've just realised I didn't mention the job application on here, partly because I was so convinced I wouldn't get it! But it's one I've wanted for ages.Debt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress
