Shuffle shuffle...
Everything matching up, but technically still well overspent for February at this point as I have had a bit of a worry wobble about the political situation and stocked up on things that are imported and would be difficult without time to adjust. Mostly gluten free things, so extra risotto rice etc, and a double order of the cats' food as they are sensitive to a lot. Still technically within February paycheque but would rather get straight if possible.
Have a case of the fidgets today... suddenly very impatient with all the stuff that still needs doing with this house. Probably the time of year, I love this soggy waiting time where everything is just getting its s**t together ready to spring into action. Hopefully including me :rotfl:. Did a couple of jobs that have been waiting for ages and got a bitabout all the stuff that still needs sorting as some of it needs paying for, but reminding myself it will get there and I'll find ways as I go.
Summary for January, assuming no dramas before the end of it:- Remortgage interest
- House repairs
- Dental work
- Osteopath
- Haircut
- Other appointments
- Buffer fund @£150
Feel a bit better about the low buffer fund looking at everything that did get done this month!

I've been feeling the same about how much I need to get done indoors Rosa. It's not fun looking around and seeing the overwhelming list of things. The joys of home ownership!
I don't think the gloominess of January helps either! We'll get there!

We will MT... and I think I have a plan for some of my indoors work at least, a couple of small tidying jobs that can be done in the evenings and I think I'm going to change my mind back again about a sofabed. There is a sofa in the Swedish store that would do for what I want and would be fine in the room as it is, as well as having easily changeable covers. I don't necessarily need another bed available and can always buy an airbed if I do, which would be cheaper overall as well. So that plan can be acted on faster now.
Otherwise the plan is mostly to get back to FlyLady...

Hi Rosa, I think you're sensible about the sofa bed. Personally I don't ever find sofa beds as comfortable as a proper sofa to sit on, it's a bit of the case of a curse of trying to be two different things at once and doing neither fully well.
Like you say, if you have extra guests there's always air beds, which I'm sure even they could bring if asked in advance, or worst case, a couple of duvets on the floor will suffice for one night.
I can honestly count on one hand the times our spare bed has been used, we could make better use of the room without it but I'm loathed to get rid of a perfectly good bed and mattress now we have them.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

Thanks Kerri. I agree about the two things at once neither well, and this sofa was the original plan until I thought about two friends potentially both wanting to stay over. However, it would most likely be one night and I'm doing my usual overspecification for things... the sofa would look better too. The spare bed isn't used a great deal but I'm conscious that most of my support network is scattered about and a bit too skint for hotel bills, plus my previous overspeccing for the house means I like the potential to have a lodger if I'm ever in a position where I need to.
I'm also loath to get rid of perfectly good furniture but I think I need to get over itotherwise I am just going to end up with a garage full of all the stuff from my flat, which I am never really likely to need and someone else might be glad of.

Thanks all, I think the sofa is now a plan and I've made more progress with the room tonight so it will get there.
Also swopping things around to the spare room which will make that a bit more co-ordinated before I get round to sorting it properly. So all steps in the right directionDebt free May 2016... DFW#2 in progress
