I freaked out a bit when we got our mortgage, seemed such a big responsibility and had a massive 'OMG what if we can't pay it' moment - had to give myself a stern talking to along the lines of 'its no different to paying rent, except you're paying it to yourself, for your own benefit and your own home - if you hadn't paid rent then you'd have still been chucked out and you weren't all those years so go and look at some colour charts knowing you can do whatever you like because its YOUR home' :D

    Thanks Kerri :A

I went online second hand furniture hunting to remind me that I don't have to pay thousands to furnish it either :D

I really hope the inheritance thing won't be an issue!

The limit is £325,000 - hence my assumption we weren't talking those sorts of sums... ;)

I prefer the look of a room put together from second hand furniture. More stylish. Anyone can replicate an IK3A room but to put a room together with preloved items takes a certain flair that I'm sure you possess. :)

I have always wanted to be able to spend time sourcing good quality furniture and 'rescuing' lovely second hand things. I found some fab items on preloved and it was all I could do to stop myself emailing about a dining table that I don't yet have space for :rotfl:

  • How exciting is this week for you? Not one but three potential homes to look at. And as you aren't in a great hurry you kind of have the upper hand if that makes sense.

I too am amazed at how far we have all come on this journey together and hope we will be here for a lot longer, not debt wise but just to help each other out in life.
