I am back to alternating housework and essay writing - each seems a lesser evil when you're fed up with the other :rotfl:

I have chocolate and there is a worrying amount of crisp consumption going on :o

Things are still on track and I think I get paid early due to the Bank Hol, :j, so am looking forward to making my Penultimate Payment! Plus I should get the arrears that I didn't get last month - it probably won't be much more than £100 after tax etc but all brings DF a little closer.

My pay is likely to go down despite the rise because of the change to public sector pensions :( so I'm glad that's only happening at the end of my journey and that I'm beginning to realise I can make money work well for me rather than causing me stress.

Five weeks to DF, all being well... :)

    Any reason why?

Is this the sliding scale of contributions thing, or something different?

There must be something in the air as I'm consuming (inhaling) crisps far more than normal. Mine's laziness I think as I've been getting in late and not eating right and then the knock on effect from there!!!

Really excited for your 5 week countdown. That time flies by! Have you thought of a way to celebrate this major achievement?

Me too with crisps. Are we all inhaling the same brand. Have they begun adding narcotics to the salt? I am narrowing my eyes in a paranoid way...

Hand up here that I haven't been eating crisps but have been craving salt more than usual - I usually put it down to the hot yoga I do and sweating buckets some classes.

It's the NI change - an increase of 1.4%, which more than wipes out the progression pay freeze and less than 1% cost of living increase. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-35913487. (I can't say I'm impressed, but I don't really feel I should be moaning given that I have a permanent contract, a decent salary and a final salary ish pension).
