    I am back to alternating housework and essay writing - each seems a lesser evil when you're fed up with the other :rotfl:

    I have chocolate and there is a worrying amount of crisp consumption going on :o

    Things are still on track and I think I get paid early due to the Bank Hol, :j, so am looking forward to making my Penultimate Payment! Plus I should get the arrears that I didn't get last month - it probably won't be much more than £100 after tax etc but all brings DF a little closer.

    My pay is likely to go down despite the rise because of the change to public sector pensions :( so I'm glad that's only happening at the end of my journey and that I'm beginning to realise I can make money work well for me rather than causing me stress.

    Five weeks to DF, all being well... :)

    There must be something in the air as I'm consuming (inhaling) crisps far more than normal. Mine's laziness I think as I've been getting in late and not eating right and then the knock on effect from there!!!

    Really excited for your 5 week countdown. That time flies by! Have you thought of a way to celebrate this major achievement?

    Hand up here that I haven't been eating crisps but have been craving salt more than usual - I usually put it down to the hot yoga I do and sweating buckets some classes.

    It's the NI change - an increase of 1.4%, which more than wipes out the progression pay freeze and less than 1% cost of living increase. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-35913487. (I can't say I'm impressed, but I don't really feel I should be moaning given that I have a permanent contract, a decent salary and a final salary ish pension).
