! CSARINA – poor you having to part with a dresser; my DH made me a beautiful one years and years ago and I would hate to have to part with it. Hopefully, it will find another good home so you’ll feel better about having to let it go! I suppose somebody else will eat MY bit of the lamb, won’t they? !
I am very sad that the dresser has to go, we have always made sure where ever we have lived we have room for the dresser, I love it so much, it was something I had wanted for years and looks so lovely with all the china and crystal on it...............but.................a table to eat at is more important, I hate the idea of eating on a tray on my knee, we have always sat at a table to eat. When we bought the table we bought a gate leg, which we have under a window, with one leaf up it does ok for us to eat on and if the gc's come there is enough room for us all round it.
I will divide your share of the lamb between the two of us, is that ok????? I have a glass of cold muscadet in my hand as I type..............
Right time to put the roasties on and have a quick look at the rhubarb and raspberry crumble, it smells like its almost ready.............Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.0 -
Afternoon all,
Happy birthday Moggins!
Lovely day here...we had our breakfast outside with sausages done on the barbie....novelty for the grandchildren. DD1 has returned to Cork, DS1 and family have headed to Kilkenny to visit friends (in MY car), back to-morrow am so that I can take DD2 and DGD1 to airport for return to London. The time that they all spend here just flies, we are going to Cork for a weekend in three weeks by train, to use for the first time OHs free travel, which he got when 66...I go free too when travelling with him, otherwise we would go by car, as train tickets to Cork are €58 each return...much cheaper to use petrol.
Only three for dinner so we are having cold salmon with various salads, including hm potato, which we all love, have brown bread in BM to go with it.
Hugs to all in need, enjoy the rest of Sunday

Hello everyone,
Happy Birthday Moggins! :bdaycake:
Been a quiet day today. Weather not as nice as it has been this week, but it has been dry. Done some shopping, and just about to make dinner. WM is on, and will probably have another load on before the end of the day
As kyle said, I bought a whole load of books at the charity shop yesterday. Wasn't meaning to spend just as much, but they had a special offer onDon't worry though kyle, I'll not make you wait until I've read them all before I pass them over to you - you'd be waiting a while!
Got another long weekend coming up, as I'll be off for mayday tomorrow week, so really looking forward to that. It was really busy in work this past week, so hoping the time passes as quickly from tomorrow again.
*hugs* to all, take or leave as you please as usual0 -
OMG, my feet are killing me!! Oh and hello  everyone!
Took DS8yo to the Museum of Kent Life this afternoon - walking around for three hours on stony paths and up and down twisty staircases has just about done for my poor knees. Still, we had a GREAT time :j which is what its all about.DP has gone to a roleplaying thing today, so it gave us a chance to nip off for some "quality time", just Mum and Son. :happyhear Love it!! Its a good deal, too. Cost us £12 for the two, but because we filled in the Gift Aid form, we get a year's pass to return for free.
So next time we go, if DP wants to come too, it'll only cost us £7 and then we can all get in for free for a year. That was a lot more affordable than coughing up £19 in one go! :T
I got the slow cooker going before we went (DS helped with the cuttin' and a' choppin' and a peelin') and it was beyond wonderful to walk in to a gorgeous smell of dinner cooking and know all I've got to do is cook some rice and we're in business.
School uniform was all ironed yesterday, no need to put the WM on because there's not enough for a full load. I did, however, have to take a couple of carpet tiles outside and hose them down after the puppy decided he couldn't wait at 3am. Still, that's what carpet tiles are good at!
So once dinner is over, I'm putting my feet up and basking in the glow of a job well done.:hello: I'm very well, considering the state I'm in. :hello:Weight loss since 2 March 10 : 13lbs0 -
Happy Birthday moggins:bdaycake:
Had a quiet day and an early lunch of spiced turkey, yorkshire pudding, roasties, cauliflower, broccoli and mushy peas with cheese sauce and gravy.
Need to go and iron DD's school uniform ready for tomorrow and load up the dishwasher again - have already cleaned the cooker."This site is addictive!"

Just had a quick scan of today's thread after getting back from Ripley Castle, Nr. Harrogate for the weekend. It was lovely, a bit cloudy in the mornings, but coming out nice later on. Had a cheese & wine night on Friday, Saturday we went around Ripley Castle, and a walk around the Lake, followed by a quiz/social gathering in the "Hotel de Ville" at Ripley (room in the village hall in reality) with Cakes and coffees provided and a bar too! Today was a get together and "natter" caravanners are rather good at this! at arrived home about 5 pm. We hadn't seen many since last year, so it was good to meet up again, looks like we are going to go to France for 3 weeks at the end of August with the 'van to celebrate our "retirement". Off out again next weekend for the Bank Holiday with evening entertainment provided.
Happy Birthday Moggins and anyone else celebrating yesterday who I would have missed.
((((hugs))))) all round, The upshot of the walk and then sitting with legs down on Saturday meant I nearly crawled into bed on Saturday night, and haven't abused them today. Got my scan on Tuesday so hopefully will find out what on earth is up with my knee/legs!
B - 2 bananas
L - Brunch - No pudding
D - Whatever I find in the fridge when we get hungry.
Going to try going back to work tomorrow, so fingers crossed the legs hold up.

Why is it I have less time now I am retired then when I worked?0 -
:j I now have a giant fridge freezer, will be on the hunt for bulk cook ideas now I have the space. Instead of like before making a chilli then having to eat it for ages
didn't have room for more than one bulk cook before.
donny-gal hope the scan gives you some idea, which I know from personal experience can be peace of mind just knowing rather than not knowing. One day I might be more organised...........

Hi again
Csarina (I think it was you going to Marbella?)- you may find this link useful
http://weather.yahoo.com/forecast/SPXX0008.html
Just change the location to whichever big town is to near where you are going, and then you can see a 10 day forecast. It's usually pretty accurate.
The Site we stayed on had a Lake and near the River Nidd and had loads of Ducks, walking about between the 'vans looking for us to feed them bread, very tame and amusing to watch.
Took some pictures, but haven't figured out yet how to put them on here:o
Cheers

Hi everyone - just finished the kitchen! Well, thought I had but I've just realised I've forgotten a drawer; you know, the one with all the little fiddly gadgets you thought you couldn't do without then never use and just clean now and again. Going to be ruthless with all that tomorrow! Really feel I've achieved a lot this weekend but missed out a lot on here. Will have a good read through in the morning and catch up. Hope everyone has enjoyed their Sunday! My feet are killing me! Off for a bath and a glass of Muscadet - enjoy yours, csarina - bet that lamb was good! (((hugs))) to all!KNIT YOUR SQUARE TOTALS:
