Yodel delivery driver stole my parcel

Ok I thought it would be unfair if I didn't update this post...My parcel DID in fact turn up..NEXT DAY..a young woman turned up and I honestly thought it might have been delivered to her address accidently..as she was driving a standard hatchback..But no SHE WAS in fact making the delivery...the one that was supposed to have been delivered the day B4 AND I supposedly signed for it !?!
YODEL ARE CRAP....
Took you 5 months to update a post,24 hours late doesnt seem so bad0 -
I die a little inside when I see that Yodel are delvering a package for me - I've had things thrown over fences, delivered to the wrong house and just left outside.
Maybe we should start a thread of retailers that use Yodel, so we know who to avoid!0 -

Then I waited, and waited and waited. Eventually, after 3 weeks, £10 of phone calls back and forth and numerous snotty e-mails (from me AND Very), they refunded me for the items!! They asked if I wanted to reorder, I was like I don't blinking think so!!
I too have my own issues will Yodel and Very. I ordered some items from them at the end of October to be delivered next day (also ordered some items from Next and M&S to be delivered the same day). I waited in all day and both deliveries from Next and M&S turned up without issue. By 5.30pm I thought I would check up on Very's delivery which still had yet to arrive. Apparently it had been delivered at 10am to my address and signed for by a name I didn't recognise?! I'm not sure how they managed this one as I was actually standing at the door collecting another delivery. I have a feeling that they don't even bother to come out to your address if the package looks good just steal it there and then. Scumbags!
Took me 2 and a half months and various complaints and phone calls to prove that nobody with that name was at my address so I could get my money refunded and I am still awaiting on the refund for the delivery charge as there is no way I am paying for a delivery that they have proved never was delivered to me in the first place. I am so appalled and the customer service of Very that I am never using them again and am telling everyone I know to never use them either. I am not alone in this there is countless forums complaining about Very's customer service and Yodel so it looks like this happens a lot.
Sorry about the large rant but am extremely angry at being pushed from pillar to post, felt like trying to get my money back from Very was like squeezing blood from a stone. That voice in your head that says you can’t do this is a LIAR!

I completely understand, I had the same problem! They seem to believe that Yodel is always in the right... Still, you got there in the end - well done! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Same thing is happening to me right now. They say they delivered it this morning although I have been home all morning and nothing has arrived. Said the driver left it on the porch - I live in a terraced house and have NO PORCH.
Incompetent. Completely. Now waiting for them to call back after them trying to convince me it's on my non-existent porch, as they can't get hold of their driver. I needed it delivered TODAY, hence paying next day delivery charges!
RAHHH. Definitely avoid using them where possible!0 -

Hi, I am sorry for your losses. It has happened to me this time.

Yodel couriers delivered an empty parcel. I should have received jewellery worth around £1500 instead.
I called Yodel and told them about the empty parcel. They apologised but nothing else.
I reported it to police and got the crime reference number.

The seller who sent the parcel insists that they did everything as they should.
My question is: what do I need to do now?
Thank you for your help and support.0 -
I am disappointed with this service. The parcel I was expecting was delivered whilst I was out for the day. The driver left no card at all despite me receiving a text stating one had been left.
According to the online tracking system the parcel was left:
a) in a safe place
b) in my front porch.
Firstly, I live in a ground floor flat with a communal walkway that is exposed to the main road I live in. My doorstep is 6 feet from a public path. Does that sound like a safe place to leave a parcel? Open to the elements and available for any passer by to steal?
Secondly - I do not have a front porch. Not even close to one. Not even a partition between my door and the aforementioned public path. With £90 worth of goods within my delivery this is completely unacceptable.
In addition, where is the proof it was delivered at all? No-one signed for the delivery. There is no proof it has been left on my doorstep.
It appears this is not an isolated case and my concerns are supported by other users on this forum listing - lost parcels, lack of care and no emphasis on security.
It is only by luck that my neighbour saw the parcel on the doorstep and was worried it would be stolen that I even have it at all. They saw the driver just leave it on the doorstep and no card posted.
Let's not mention the damage to the box eh?
A report by the Daily Mail 2 days ago about the Tower of London poppy deliveries by Yodel speaks volumes! (Unable to post link - new user rules).
Couple this with reports of Yodel being the worst delivery company again and again - it speaks for itself.
Tried leaving feedback on the website but it doesn't allow you to submit it. This is in addition to previous promises from the Chief Executive about improving service over the last two years that clearly haven't come to fruition.
I won't be using Yodel again and my recommendation to my friends will be the same.
If they show that little care for the customer, the customer will talk with their feet and simply use their competition instead.
Extremely disappointed.0 -
No wonder

What an utter shambles of a company

Though at the same time you have to wonder why they were used to deliver such precious and symbolic items, even if they are cheap to use!0
