When you log in, on the first screen you come to it should your account under your name and its current value. Click "Stocks & Shares ISA" and on the next screen you should see a list of your holdings. It should show the Vanguard fund and its current value etc. here.0

Ah! Thanks! Now I know where to look. However, it probably takes a while to get the account up right? It says:
At present, we are unable to display any holdings for your HL Vantage Stocks & Shares ISA0 -
I'm in the same position as you, Tasha - I opened my HL account this week, but haven't put any money into it yet as I'm waiting for permission from work re the personal dealing policy. I have however set up a direct debit for May + selected the VLS80 for it to be directed to. It won't show any holdings until your first bit of dosh has gone into the fund.
Once I'm in my S&S ISA page, if I click on the Monthly Savings tab (assuming you're doing the monthly savings route by direct debit, of course, which you may not be), mine shows a tab on the right for May and one for June onwards. This is where you show your intentions of how they're to invest your money. Click on Change for both month options and that's how you add the VLS80. I got HL to explain it to me down the phone yesterday."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000 -

Yes it might doIf you've opened the investment with a lump sum via a card or cheque then there shouldn't be much delay but if its a monthly via DD then there could be a delay before they set it up properly and start buying shares in the fund.

As an aside, holding shares in your employer exposes you to a lot of single company risk and I generally try and diversify away from this by selling my company SAYE/etc. shares pretty much as soon as possible.
So saying, I took a punt on them a few years ago (with a sum I could afford to lose!) and it all came up roses, but there were some *very* scary moments along the way.I am not a financial adviser and neither do I play one on television. I might occasionally give bad advice but at least it's free.
Like all religions, the Faith of the Invisible Pink Unicorns is based upon both logic and faith. We have faith that they are pink; we logically know that they are invisible because we can't see them.0 -

My firm's not listed but still has personal dealing policy to stop me doing trades on the market which are not pre-cleared. It does have some exceptions though and a regular OEIC or open ended unit trust is fine. Simply moving money into an HL ISA wrapper or buying a Vanguard index tracking fund within it isn't something they would care about - but some firms are stricter than others.0 -
No they're not company shares, and, as bowlhead has said, it's par for the course in banking. The broker has to send contract notes to the control room part of the Compliance department. I work in Compliance and sit above the Chinese wall so am potentially exposed to price-sensitive info. If I bought individual shares I'd have to get pre-clearance for each trade + deal within 24 hours, but OEICs and ETFs etc are exempt from the transaction permission because I have no discretion over the investment decisions."Save £12k in 2019" #120 - £100,699.57/£100,0000

I find the Vanguard funds take about three days before Vanguard confirm the purchase and they appear on HL. I do think the delay is down to Vanguard as other dealings appear much quicker although some such s Troy take a similar time. Note that funds are dealt just once daily as a rule.0

I understand that funds are bought in batches, so it can take a while before the purchase actually shows up on your account. With Charles Stanley it seems to take a week or so after placing a purchase order.0
