    Thanks for all your posts.

Misha8's posts are appreciated; but does she now agree that you can get pasionate about what you think (including using the F word in her case) without the need to go on an Anger Management Course?.

I am in Limbo at the moment as I have been for 3 interviews and am waiting for them to get back to me and am going through this redundancy nonsence where I work at the moment. Still hoping for the best but preparing for the worst!!

Well done for getting 3 interviews. You must have something that they want or you wouldn't have got this far. Hope it's good news from at least one of them.
There are three types of people in this world. Those who can count and those who can't.

    2. The scoring is supposed to be fair. But, in reality, they can and will fiddle it to suit themselves. If they decide that warnings etc in the past are a big issue for them then no-one else can tell them they cant score on this - its their business after all. To be fair I think all companies decide who they want to go and then fiddle the scoring to suit this anyway.

No - the scoring is supposed to result in a situation where the people are scored on worth to the business no matter what that worth is deemed to be. So warnings, disciplinaries, attitude and conduct are all legitimately part of that scoring. Hence people with issues around these things will be scored lower. That's not unfair, that's business.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Remind us what you were recently disciplined for - oh yes, being rude to a client.

    Oh the irony...

I agree with you about it being business. Just pointing out the business WILL massage it to suit themselves.

Of course they will - they are hardly going to get rid of people they want to keep.
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

I do agree you can get passionate LegalSec but in my opinion it's a case of choosing your battles wisely.... especially at work. I think most companies especially solicitors firms do not appreciate a trouble maker and anyone on a FWW for rudeness to a client/colleague will be 1st on redundancy list imo. Maybe a simpler strategy than Anger Management Course would simply be to COUNT TO THREE when dealing with colleagues/clients who tend to wind you up. ;)

I can't remember telling anyone to F off at work - highly unprofessional - here though is another matter. And YES I have had run ins with Sar El etc - and I note from another post about her that she does rub people up the wrong way sometimes. apart from that I try not to target people here. another poster (not named but a so called *expert/hobbyist* on employment law and I have had run ins but he was rude/condescending etc...

I wish you luck LegalSec in getting another job, like I said before you may need to find another field, I don't know. nothing at all wrong with reinventing yourself and trying a less stressful field - maybe Fashion/department store as secretary, I don't know??

legal clients sadly can be extremely hard work.... some are lovely but some, good heavens - clients from hell spring to mind!!!
