Who cares why they've done it - it's a way out for those who were stuck with them.0

            HMV will accept gift vouchers
The administrators of HMV have said that the music and DVD retailer will start accepting gift vouchers in stores from Tuesday.

Glad to see that they have started to accept vouchers and gift cards. It was wrong that they should have suggested otherwise. They have already taken people's money, even just in the last couple of months when they would have known their company was in trouble, they should honour that.0

Fairly sure Pixmania also has lots of fringe benefits as well - iirc the ecommerce platform and all the servers that hosted the Pixmania site now also host the Currys / PC World sites (which are now all hosted in France!)I read somewhere that DSG have tried to get shot of Pixmania for the last 2 years as its a milestone around their necks. I just wish i could remember where i read thisNothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0

I think the main benefit is the Pixmania Pro site which is the wholesale arm of Pixmania, but even that is expensive as i can get items wholesale cheaper than Pixmania Pro.
I am a reg user of Pixmania pro and in one of their monthly sales emails from 2010 it stated that they were looking for a buyer for the Pixmania brand. since then nothing about this, so it looks like they have decided to keep Pixmania ( maybe due to unstable market)0

but the money you send to Park Group for the vouchers is protected, so you will get the money back. This was set up between them, their banks and the government after the farepak fiasco
I've just been given £50 of Love 2 shop vouchers, so I've double checked the above. NB Their website says that funds on Love 2 shop gift cards is held in trust, but not the paper vouchers. Goodness knows why there's a difference, but I'll be filling the freezer at Iceland this weekend.Q. What is the difference between Love2shop Gift Cards and vouchers?
A: With Love2shop Gift Cards any remaining balance on the card after a purchase can be spent at any redeemer stores.
Love2shop gift cards can be replaced when reported lost or stolen, gift vouchers cannot.
Funds on the Love2shop card are held in trust, vouchers are not.
You have the right of redemption on a Love2shop card for up to 6 years following its expiry, this does not apply to vouchers.
Additional services are available with the Love2shop cards including balance enquiry and text services.
