Hi all. Had a productive day here at the treehouse. Got all the washing done, now dried (doesn't need ironing!). Tided and S and S through, and extra food given to the birdies. It was quiet out there today, but we had a little fluttering of blue-tits, which was nice, and a solitary plump robin. Cats fed, porridge eaten and DW done.

Cleaned the kitchen units, sorted out large baking dishes and freezer, whilst OH did some necessary paperwork and fixed a couple of shelves. We then did a HUGE shop, for us and sick friend, and had a late lunch out as a treat. No dog walking again, as they were away, but will do that tomorrow unless it's terribly icy.

Been chilling, reading and playing on my IPad with the usual big cuppas since our return, and we'll just have something on toast soon, as both still full. Cats fed twice since! New boy been galloping in the snow - he loved it!

Good wishes to everyone, I hope your OH's back is soon better, Helen. 'Good health' vibes to all those feeling ill. And Skintbreeder, what can I say? What can anyone say? What a complete b@@@h your Ex-MIL is. (Is that what GI said!?) - sorry - it was TMD and the word used was c@w !! If there is no one at all you can get to help, go with the flow, even if it eats you up inside, then tell her what for once you are back on your feet, and hopefully, you will never her need her to step in again. Are you in the SE of the country as one or two here thought? I'm in the NW, so if you are near I would happily help.

Good luck with next week, and tell your DD I'm another who had chores to do, from aged four, and we all did them without thinking it was 'work', we were happy and proud to help. I was cooking hot dinners for five adults when I was 13, and my brothers have made super OHs, doing their fair share of chores. (Mum died when
I was little). I used to love to polish the legs of the big table and my middle brother would sing 'cowboy' songs while he cleaned everyone's shoes! Eldest would do the veg, youngest would put out the washing, and loads more all round, but we were happy!!

    Have a good weekend everybody, R x

    Lol! Tactful.

    Marmalade made

First jamming sesion in the 'new' kitchen. DD has made muffins AND brownies. Reckons she 'hates' her brother sometimes - but she EXPECTS him to polish off most of what she bakes, as she won't eat it all:cool:

Relegated to spare roomdom, as tots asleep in my bed. Wondering if I can get a decent nights sleep if they each think they are in bed with me rather than each other... A cunning plan? I'll tell you in the morning! ;)

Collected DS2 from work. I'm working on my courage at the moment, wizard of Oz style and boy did I need it - our road has turned into a curling rink. Trouble is my language went a bit to pot

Having a well deserved glass of wine now, dw on, washing up done, teasmaid set so cat biscuits to hand out and off to bed to read. See you all tomorrow.

  • Hellooooooooo! Lots of snow here since yesterday. Flying this week:

    House hoovered thoroughly
    Bathroom cleaned
    Kitchen cleaned
Items put back where they live
    Other items decluttered
Mount Ironmore scaled (victory that one)
    Bitty bits done
    Washing done

With being back at work and cadets hardly any time to read and post so I trust you are all well.

At times I despair living with 3 large males in the house. Why can't they aim straight:mad:. We have floor tiles which show every splash mark.

Mount wash more is half conquered. 2 hours ironing has been completed.

TV wars have dominated the house today. From 8-5 it was football and cricket. They all complained bitterly when I wanted to watch t@ke me 0ut. I offered them 1 born every m1nute from the planner as an alternative so they stopped moaning.

DH has declared today his stopping smoking day. Err isn't that what you did in (Stop)tober??? No will power, he's hurt I'm not being supportive but I've been on this merry go round too many times.
