    Hi everyone :j

I'm still around, so sorry I dropped off the thread last week. It wasn't intentional - unfortunately the week disappeared..lol. Oh and I got a bit tied up with Pinterest (no excuse). When I find a new thing I sort of get rather wrapped up in it..lol. And I didn't have to log on to the actual browser to access it on my tablet, so I was just clicking the app and going straight there. Now if they did a MSE app I would be in heaven..lol

Hope everyone is okay and hasn't had too much snow, or got snowed in. The promised snow didn't really live up to much here in Kent - it snowed for a long time in the evening and it looked lovely when we went to bed. Sadly when we got up this morning it seemed to have partially thawed..hmmm how can that happen when it didn't get above -1 here  Although they did say we would get a nice dumping Sunday sometime as there is a lovely lot of snow coming across from France. On the met website it is showing we are in the eye of it Sunday but we will see if anything materialises. It was bad enough DH coming home early on Friday not sure I can have him home on Monday..:rotfl: Oh well we will see.

DH is decorating the kitchen today - finally!!! We had the new cooker delivered and installed last weekend, which is great! I am just getting used to it now, although I can't get used to the fact that things actually take a long time to cook - my old cooker used to cook things in double time. Thinking about it now I am realising it was on it's way out..and we just didn't know it..lol We have to get some money back from Currys when we do our food shopping later, so I am hoping we can get our new microwave while we are out. Although I have a feeling I will have to wait until DH has finished the painting in the kitchen.

I'm sorry if I've missed anyone's birthdays this week. As I said it wasn't intentional but hope you all had lovely birthdays and got spoilt rotten.

Oh well better go and get showered before DH gets home with the dogs :D

Hugs, love and spoons to everyone xxxxxx

  • Good morning ladies  I think I've completed this week's list (that's a good side-effect of retirement ;) ) so DH and I are going to do a few errands this morning, then go for a walk in the snow :j

Dusty and Natty, please can I have a pass out for next week? I'm off to visit my mother (and may be cleaning her house, but no internet, so won;t be able to report :p ). I may pop in at the end of the week, depending on when I'm back.

    Please take one and enjoy

If she's not close enough maybe I am - happy to help if you'll have me;)

    Anyway

The Vallikids are here all day; their dad cannot get, apparently. Road has JUST BEEN GRITTED (Valli faints with shock) so I shall venture to Morrisons; I have NO CATFOOD  and need a few other bits, including sufficient sugar. Marmalade oranges have been washed so I will shop while they dry.

  • Wow Skint - I have sweaty palms here just reading about your ExMIL - what a cow (her, not you!) - sorry, it had to be said!
If you are anywhere near Cumbria, just shout - I MEAN THAT - I'd love to help you out xx

I'm having a relaxing morning - still in bed  although I am on nights tonight so it's allowed. Have been dosed up with loads of cuppas and crumpets by OH and DD, so I will have to move my butt now.

Anyone fancy HH something starting now? I'm going to strip the bed, make some broccoli and blue cheese soup and defrost some fish for tonights dinner and see what else needs doing. OH and the kids are outside tidying up the barn so I could use some company indoors.
