Morning! Gentle list today, which is much appreciated!

Wm going, all fed and dressed, kiddies not even asked to go outside! Have about an inch of snow, but its really very cold. So they are indoors playing, awaiting friend of DS to arrive any time now. Both have thermals on as last night, even though I left heating on low, they came to get in with me and despite having pjs and fleece onesies on they both felt really cold. So we all snuggled in together and they seemed to warm up.

Will I ever get my bed to myself???

Hugs to skinty and anyone else in need. Keep safe and warm, folks X

Enormous hugs and multiple spoons to Skint - you know you're a bloomin' marvel, don't you? If you didn't before, you do now! :p
Emotional evening last night :( DH and I went to see his mum & sis to tell them everything that has been going on ... We now need to sit down with BIL & SIL and do it all again ...

I have had the school on the phone because DS's form tutor is being a total @r$e... It emphases that we need to play to our strengths as a couple - I will do the money & he can deal with people :)

You and your DH are doing brilliantly, GI. Lots of spoons and (((hugs))) to you too. Carry on playing to your strengths and you will pull through and be all the stronger as a couple ;)

Hope the morning light has brought a bit of clarity to your situation, macpep. I sat down last night and wrote a long email to my children and got a brilliant reply from my DS1 first thing today, which has given us another view of what we might be able to do with regards to moving (where to, rent or buy, etc), and that has helped us enormously. It's so hard to stand back and see the bigger picture when you're right in the middle of it, isn't it?

I was just about to go out and refill the bird feeders when the great spotted woodpecker came down and started feeding, so I didn't want to disturb him. He's gone now, but 2 robins and a jay are down, together with the great tits and black birds, as too are the Magnificent Four (of course!). Robins are clearly demanding more buggy balls (fat) in with their mealworms! Wish I could recognise bird calls as well as their plumage - for someone with a reasonable ear for a tune, I am very bad at this! I just heard a very loud repetitious "tee-tee-tee", all on one note, coming from the woods but can't tell who it is. I was thinking earlier that I should try to bung up the draughts around the study window (I think the rubber seal on the DG is slightly perished) but then I would not be able to hear the birds calling and singing, and that would be very sad.

Lots to do today. Am being ruthless with my good winter coat which I no longer fit into  and also my posh wedding hats. No more weddings expected for a few years - eldest GC is not 5 yet - so *fling* :D They will only take up valuable storage space when we move.

(((Hugs))) spoons and :coffee: for all who need them. Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning everyone.

    Dailies done.
Washer filled ready to set away when I get in tonight.

Will catch up with lists over the weekend. At work today but only do a few hours on a Friday. Snowing here but we are not to get it as bad as other places. I've got some of those ice grips and they are good.

    Skintbreeder I'm thinking of you.
    Goodintentions. Hugs.

    Stay safe and warm everyone.

Hi i would really love to join in. I try to keep on top of my housework but with 4 year old twins at home it's not that easy. I normally manage to get the basics done but never get anything extra done and i can't remember the last time i mopped my kitchen floor. (Yuck) usually just wipe up any spillages as i go and run the hoover round. Also really need to sort cupboards and drawers etc as some are getting very hard to close!!

When do the new lists come up on here, really would like to join in. Hope you are all well.:)

    Hugs also for macpep xx

Thank you, just needed somewhere to vent :rotfl:

Skint That is quite a story, I can honestly say I have never brushed diabetes under the carpet, a girl I went to school with had to inject herself everyday and have special things to eat & energy drinks (if I remember correctly, it was a while ago) and I used to feel so sorry for her as to me she wasn’t leading a “normal” life. Thank you for sharing that, I am now educated

GI – (((Hugs)))It must be hard to sit down and tell the family, your DH is probably humiliated as well as ashamed of himself but well done for expalining to them. What a jobby :o of a teacher, you would think he would cut some slack with your DS as he has never been in trouble before

Yes its hard to see the bigger picture and not really borught any clarity to the situation :rotfl:Thursday night my DH plays pool and he wasn't in until 12.30 , cant really get a chance to speak when kiddies are about, trying not to let them worry, we will know better when he has saw the shift rota for Carlisle, I am only 6 months into my "flexible hours working" and according to our handbook, these cannot be changed, if i worked any less hours, it would have an affect on the business and my boss is not the easiest to talk to, we shall play by ear just now and be thankful he has the opportunity, glad your email reply helped you, thats a positive step x

I couldn't post last night as the forum was down but I've managed to eat my frog which was sorting my chest of drawers, it's not OCD tidy! As is the fridge and the under sink in the kitchen. I already cleaned the kitchen sink thoroughly on Wednesday and we just have to wipe it each evening to keep on top now :T:T:T
I sorted through winter clothes yesterday, although need to finish tidying the bedroom floor as I found loads of trousers and dressers in the chest that did not belong there but some monkey (me) stuffed them in when in a rush as I hate using the wardrobe.
