I do have a bit of a crush yeah, but he is still an amazing friend to me.

I would have said: go for it, make the offer and, if he's really struggling, insist on doing it because he'd do the same for you, etc. However...

You have a crush on your best mate?? Do you have... other motives? That's sort of: icky.

Don't go there. I'd help my best mate with almost anything (and he's male) but I don't see him the way you see your friend. Remember: boyfriends come and go but (true) friends are forever.
  • I think some folk are being a tad harsh on the OPer.

She said in an earlier post that when watching films they 'snuggle' up. If this happened a few times then who's to say he doesn't like her too? Unless I missed a post to the contrary...

I agree it's a bit risky to pursue if it puts a friendship at risk or the OPer knows he doesn't feel the same...that doesn't mean his cat will end up in the microwave or anything.

    Hi all!

He gave me the £6 to pay off his statement (He thought I was going to go to the bank and pay it there so I saw the full balance. The balance was £5.91) Who on earth spends 62p on AMEX in tesco :P

I stayed over last night and his sofa is comfy. he was glad of the help. I put a load on for him.

OP, you're being a lovely friend and I hope you don't think we were doing anything other than teasing you, you don't really sound like a bunny boiler!

And don't worry, after a few days of running around after him and washing his smalls, you'll soon find your infatuation wearing thin. Just ask any married woman! :rotfl::rotfl:
