I have 22yrs and 11mths left on my mortgage,but i want a lot less!!;)
My repayments are £687.10 a month, for the last year ive been o/p i rounded it to £800 p/m,the other day,i just upped me o/p,now paying £850 a month, had it fixed, just incase of any interest increases,so if they do go up,it will give me a bit of breathing space.:)
Is it just me,thats goes over and over the mortgage calculator, and sits hear, dreaming of how to up o/p payments even more?
Ive started giving myself spending money per month, instead of running away with my debit card,a tip i got of these threads, defintately the way to go,feel like a little kid with pocket money,at the till with me seperate money bags, one for shopping, one for diesel, great though, its made me a right old scrooge!!:rotfl:,Total Mortgage amount borrowed

Sat here at home,on my own as normal, surrounded by my animals,as normal,4 dogs,6 cats,4 ferrets,.. in the garden, loads of fish in a pond in the garden,ok,not normal, you would be right in thinking im a bit of an animal lover, although im not ready to be the 'mad' cat woman of the life of grime!!;)
No heating on,not needed, got 2 dressing gowns on,and loads of furby body heat,so im quite warm!!
Going through me head how to save money,my latest steps have been,
Oldest dog,has arthritis,now get his tablets online,so instead of paying over £50 p/m im paying £22.80 p/m,even with a £10 perscription cost,its saving me a fortune.
Changed my house insurer in December,my renewal was £34 p/m,went on the comparison sites, got this for £137 for the year, hence my new mortgage o/p of £50,saved on the 2 above combined.
Brought my last sack of cat food online, saved me £9,and will do,p/m month now.
Buy all my flea/wormer treatments online, saving me a fortune.
Luckily i get staff food at work, and im making sure i eat it,saving me a fortune.
When i have a few days of,il cook a batch, saves me spending loads, less trips to the shops, and buying rubbish,i dont need!!!
Text my roster clerk,to let her know,il work weekdays, weekends, basically anything that moves,(im a train guard) got two rest days works next week,..... Get in!!!;)
Think that will do for now.:DTotal Mortgage amount borrowed

Another NSD day today,2 days on the trot, even driving to the nearer country park than the woods,to walk the dogs because its nearer,so saving diesel!!;)
I do actually get out and walk them though!!
Looking forward to getting my new bed delivered tomorrow, dipped into my savings,my last treat, before embarking on my MF journey!!:)
Got another RDW for Sunday, thats 3 days, for my next pay day!!:j
Ive got a loan, that has 3 years left,£157 p/m,and im aiming to have that paid off,by April 14,luckily my twin brother got me a china dog money box,for Christmas,i went to count my money in it yesterday, just to get excited about my little 'stash' couldnt get the blimmin plug out,so it will probably work a treat!!!!:D Any spending money,or disel money left at the end of the month, will be going in it,should soon build up,hopefully!!:)Total Mortgage amount borrowed

Expensive day, yesterday, ive come up with not, one, not two,but three bloody coldsores!!! Not a pretty sight, and so sore,so had to get another tube of Zovirax, over £6!! Think its terrible how much money they make out of someone elses misery!!;)
Got an expensive few weeks coming up too,two of my dogs need their boosters, ive got to pay kennels, and i need some spending money for a little weekend away to Benidorm,in February,a friends 50th birthday, then ive got me car tax due,end of the Feb,and me MOT in March,me car AKA as Bertha, cost me a bomb last year, about £1500,so im hoping she will be good to me this year,i'l promise to get her washed, that may do it!!:rotfl:
On the plus side working my day of today and tomorrow, hoping its not to bad at work with this horrid white stuff.
almost fogot,dentist Monday,deep,deep joy,luckily i'm NHS!!!:)Total Mortgage amount borrowed

Well,im home from work, and its bloody snowing again, its quite thick, not sure il be going to the dentist tomorrow, dont really want to go anywhere past the front door really!!!
Spent some money today, not alot, about £7,bought some hot food at Newcastle, whilst on my break,as there was none on the train, normally is,the food was reduced, then i got some bread,14p a loaf reduced, some milk, and some chocolate, thought i would treat myself, after working all weekend!! lol
Put £10,in my money box,its building up quite well now,not that i can count it,still cant get the blimmin plug out!!!:rotfl:
Im currently 35,36 in June, almost wetting meself with excitement!!
I have 23 years remaining on my mortgage, however,i am aiming to pay it off in 10years,its like giving it a gastric bypass!!! lol:rotfl:
So,my plan at the minute,is,like ive said, ive currently upped my o/ps to £162.90 p/m,i aim to finish my loan in April 14,2 years earlier, that will free up £157.24 p/m,so that will then go straight onto my mortgage o/ps,and then with the money i'l save with not smoking, that will be another £150,p/m,and im hoping to find some more, hopefully around about another £100, p/m,which will probably come from a RDW.
But of course, this is in,an ideal world, but we can all,but try,we all need a dream.:)Total Mortgage amount borrowed

Thank you,Elantan, ive been over and over the o/p calculator, and it looks like what i need to aim for,and your right, once i get into the swing of things,im sure il be chipping off,a few more months, here and there!!;)
Well, not been out today, cancelled my dentist appointment, driving in the snow, petrifies me,and a dental check up,wasnt life,or death!! Fell asleep on the sofa, watching the telly, didnt see much of it,woke up to find i had no electric!! The main switch was tripped out,the reason?!! Bloody washing machine, its been noisey for ages, thought it was part of its charm, werent replacing it,til i had to,........... now unfortunately,i have to!!:(
3rd washing machine in 8 years this will be,dont make things to last these days do they,1st was a Hotpoint, this one is a Hoover,il be honest,i never get an engineer out,i just think the time you pay one to come out,and they may have to get parts, you may aswell bite the bullet and get a new one, found one online,£215 for a whirlpool, not a bad price i thought, see how long this one will last,im working through the makes!!;)
On a cheerier note, havnt ordered the washing machine yet,so today is a NSD,if you dont include the heating on,if you do,im bug gered!!:rotfl:
Managed to break into my money box today,£81,get in!!! This money,is going towards paying my loan of in April 14,im needing between £100-£150 p/m,and also with the aide of 2 free months i get,i'l smash it,if all you fine people can,so can i!!!:DTotal Mortgage amount borrowed

Hi Kodagirl
Where did you find the washing machine?
Mine broke last week and I've been searching for a replacement but the best I found so far was Zanussi in Currys at £240.
I don't want one of the cheapest cheap ones but can't afford too much either, so a Hotpoint one for £215 sounds ideal.
Good luck with your OP quest.
