What silly things irate you about your OH/ partner

  • Take my half of duvet with him when he rolls over in his sleep. I normally wake up coz I can feel the cold then cannot go back to bed.It annoys me more if it had taken me long to fall asleep and I get woken up like that. Felt like kicking him a few times though lol.

Another is that he actually listens to what I say but not responding to it. I have to repeat myself several times to make sure he gets what I just said. Well if you heard me, respond ok? I dont like to repeat myself all the time. It feels like I am dealing with my 4 yrs old lol

Sock bits!!!! My OH leaves sock bits all over the carpets!! This is despite me buying him slippers and pleading with him to wear the nice cotton socks that he has rather than the cheap nasty primarni sports socks that he has and wont get rid of!!

That said, he is wonderful really :) And since he has been trained to make the bed everyday if i havent done it (he now agrees with me that its nicer to get into a made bed than an unmade bed!) im hoping that i will eventually get there with getting him to wear decent socks :)

(I did see him picking up the said sock bits today though off the bedroom carpet so maybe there is hope!! HA!)

  • Very amusing thread!

I'll add mine.... (well, a few of them)

He puts dirty bowls, cups, plates etc on the worksurface above the dishwasher, but never actually in it.

He is always asking where things are; wallet, keys, hat, shoes, and although I have provided "homes" for all of these, they are never where they should be.

He fills the kettle right up, even if he's only making a drink for himself (not very MSE!).

He leaves change all over the house (I've taken to collecting it up and popping it in a moneybox. When it's full, I'll treat myself!).

One more, he doesn't empty his pockets before putting things in the wash resulting in the inevitable "washed tissue" scenario, although I do gain plenty of change for my moneybox :)

    Lol loving this!

My OH puts plates on the kitchen counter but leaves 1-2inches over hanging. He says it's not going to fall off but it isn't just that...WHY? Even when the counter is empty, plates are left overhanging. Maybe it is the way he carries them but...WHY?

When I'm enjoying a bath, he likes to come into that bathroom to wee, when we have an en-suite. He only uses this loo if I'm in the bath and I think it's an excuse to chat to me, as he sits on the closed lid after washing hands. It's sweet but also gross. Pee in the other loo you grotbag! ;)

The things I do that bug him...taking fruit on holiday! By this I mean throwing an extra apple into my bag in the morning (I often take fruit salad in a tub to snack on). Said apple stays in bag all and ends up in bowl (often bruised). He just looks at me, deadpan, and ask 'did apple enjoy his holiday?'

LOL my OH does this too. I also put all of the change in a pot and use it for various spending day to day! :)

    Just thought of another one!

My OH cannot drive and talk at the same time - there are so many occasions where we have missed our turning because he's been chattering away.

Hmm, kinda relates to my first post really...more talking lol.

I just realized that my hubby does this all the time & it drives me barmy! I also prefer it when people (i.e hubby) look at me when I'm talking to them, so I can see if they're paying attention!
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.

My husband does the thing where he ignores me for the first 5-6 times I call his name and only when I actually shout ( volume, not in a horrible way) does he turn round with an injured face and say "you don't have to shout, I couldn't hear you"

    THATS EXACTLY WHY I SHOUTED!!!!!
