What silly things irate you about your OH/ partner

some more.....
- starts and finishes a sentence with 'actually'
- he's another one who leaves sock bits on the carpet
- he phones me, asks me something then says nothing once i start talking. I'm not expecting a full response (in fact I'd be annoyed if I got one) but a few 'aha's' or 'mmmms' wouldn't go amiss. I usually end up saying 'are you still there?'. He also holds the phone really close to his mouth then breathes into it. His mum does the same thing.
- every time there's an ad break on the telly, he immediately flicks to the footie results on the teletext . Give him his due, he always has it back in time but still?

I'm actually surprised this thread isn't longer already! My pet hates:
He takes the plates out into the kitchen after a meal but doesnt even rinse them off
Leaves dirty clothes to pile upon the floor then dumps them all in one go to be washed and expects them all done by the next day (no, it doesn't happen!)
Never shuts the door properly when he goes into the garden and I wonder why I'm freezing
And don't get me started on his snoring...when I'm still awake at 3am even his BREATHING grates!!!
P.S. Love him really0 -
My husband:
- Encroaches onto my side of the bed during the night and clings to my back like a red-hot limpet. I end up with half an inch between me and the edge of the bed and I have to wake him up if I want to turn over. I'm often drenched with perspiration down one side.
- He also doesn't respond when I speak to him sometimes, even though he has heard me.
- He talks in-depth about motorbikes - all the time.
- He never wipes the sink down after doing the dishes, just leaves bubbles/puddles of water everywhere.
Other than that he's the perfect husband.:rotfl:0 - Encroaches onto my side of the bed during the night and clings to my back like a red-hot limpet. My OH often fills the bath up then answers the phone and has a 20 min chat. After the chat the water is cold  so lets most of the water out and fills it up again.
Other times she often is in the bath for just about 10mins with the water constantly running even though there was loads of hot water before she got in.
I noticed the other day before I went to work that she was cleaning the bathroom. She was filling the bath up half full with hot water ready to clean it instead of wiping it down with cleaner and a cloth and then rinsing with the shower.
Fills the sink with water when there are only a few dishes to wash and also uses loads and loads of washing up liquid.
Moan moan moan. I do love her despite these little things tho :A
She is not very MSE at all at times but she is slowly starting to come round.0 -

Bit of a watery theme there0 -
Haha just to redress the balance, it drive my OH mad that i spend *ages* in the shower......i just dont like to get out of the nice hot water!£2 Savers Club #156!
Looking for holiday ideas for 2016. Currently, Isle of Skye in March, Riga in May, Crete in June and Lake District in October. August cruise cancelled, but Baby due September 2016! :j0 -
My oh does the 'Im listening but not responding thing' drives me nuts too. I end up getting sick of my own voice sometimes Haha
I've learned not to discuss things first thing in the morning, stuff like, remember and pick up such and such or Im not gonna be home until x. I can't guarantee that it'll go in and stay there. I've had full conversations that she's sworn blind she can't remember later on.
She leaves the top off everything. You name it, if its got a lid then you'll find it lying next to the container on the counter.
I better toddle off to the things you love about your oh thread now or I'll end up feeling guilty!0 -
Annoying things:
-Fills dishwasher - put pots and casserole dishes on side to 'soak'; does he EVER wash these - em no!
-while snoring 'blows' on me, cant help but helpfully push his chin till he faces the other way lol
- turns lights off in a room ive left for seconds
-looks around too much while driving
In fairness he hates that i dont clean my car, drop the towel on the bed when i first get out the shower and that i feed the cats cold meat straight from the fridge!Light Bulb Moment - 11th Nov 2004 - Debt Free Day - 25th Mar 2011 :j0 -
After reading all these posts - I dont think I want another half - my daughter is bad enough "dont do this, dont do that, where is...she goes on and on and on"0

My OH carries all the dishes into the kitchen, and stacks them carefully on the side above the dishwasher. Either that or piles them neatly IN the sink. Why? I have no idea, but it drives me insane.
He never empties his pocket or takes his name badge off his shirt - I haven't got a clue how many name badges I've washed, and he's had to get replaced.
He manages to rearrange the rearview mirror every time he gets in the car. He doesn't drive, so why he's anywhere near it I don't know.
Every time he goes for a shower, he leaves the bathroom floor sopping wet from one end to the other.
However, I love him lots.0
