what is the best email address for easyjet?
I got rejection email for both expenses and compensation. I've sent reply to customer.resolution@ and customer.service@ over 3 weeks ago but I got no reply. Is there a better email address?
If I am rejected again, what is the best next step? Is it Small courts Claim, CEDR Adjudication, Aviation ADR complaint or Bott Net? I am sorry but this is just so confusing0 -
Hi
Just looking for some info about if I am able to claim flight delay compensation.
We were booked on a flight with easyJet from Liverpool to Paris. There was a air traffic control strike at France at the time. When we checked in at the airport we were told the there was a 2 and half hr delay to the flight.
We were finally called to board the plane after 2 and half hrs. As we were about to board the plane we were told that the flight was cancelled due too the flight crew had worked over the legal number of working hrs and they couldn't pilot the plane.
The next available flight was two days later so we missed two days of our holiday.
Now what I wanna know is if the cancellation was due to the air traffic control strike in France which means we are unable to claim compensation or because the flight crew couldn't fly due to working over the legal amount of hrs worked?
Thanks in advance for any info anyone can tell me

Hi MrM,
In a case like this it is the probably the strike that caused the cancellation.
However, as they then took two days to get you to your destination they obviously failed the "all reasonable measures" test, meaning they did not take reasonable measures to get you to your destination asap after the ATC problem had been resolved.
For that reason compensation would be due.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
Hi I also had my flight cancellation from Bristol to Faro. We didn’t get a lot of info from EasyJet, so went home and when back to Tui agent this morning and had a full refund and booked holiday to majora. But been told to claim composition on travel insurance. Happy days :T0

Actually Easyjet are liable for your additional costs in alternative flights.
This is clearly stated in the regualtion 261/2004 articles 5,6 and 8.
However you are not due comspensation, which is a separate issue.
The ATC issue does not absolve EJ of their duty of care.
On the easyjet website there are 2 different webforms, one for compensation, the other for addtioanl expenses. id you complete the latter webform?
If they have rejected your claim for additional expenses then you need to either:
1. request a deadlock letter ( or wait 8 weeks) then go to CEDR, and ADR that should find in your favour.
or
2. Go straight to small claims court.
You can do 2. if you fail at stage 1.If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Do you know for certain why your flight was cancelled? Put your flight details into bottonline and euclaim and see what they say. You should get a refund for you flight and the difference between that refund and the amount of your 2nd flight. Easyjet cannot say you only get so much they have to pay the difference. Also, did you incur expenses like a hotel and food.0

Presumably the ATC outage in France? Or was this a different day?If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Hi, just looking for some advice regards a claim we submitted to EasyJet.
On Sunday 1st Sep 2019 we were due to fly back from Lanzarote to Manchester. Our flight was delayed by approximately 2.5 hours and then we had to sit on the run way for about 45 mins which resulted in a delay of over 3 hours.
I submitted a claim but this was rejected as follows:
Our assessment of your claim
To further explain what happened on the day; air traffic control restrictions as a result of a partial air traffic control systems failure in France resulted in delays to flights as aircraft waited for air space ‘slots’ to operate, sometimes for several hours. The delays continued throughout the day which had a knock on effect to later flights. We do take reasonable measures to avoid delays and cancellations to our flights by having replacement crews and spare aircraft available in our network. In the circumstances, these options were not available as the delay of your flight was as a direct result of air traffic control restrictions caused by a partial air traffic control systems failure in France.
Do you think the above statement is legit and there is nothing else I can do or is there a way to challenge the decision or can I check somewhere what was the official reason for the delay?
I am not sure if they are trying to fob me off or not and would welcome some advice.0 -

for EasyJet flight was 1972 on the 1st, EUClaim shows
"An analysis of the data for this flight shows that an extraordinary circumstance was the cause of the delay.
Unfortunately you are not entitled to compensation.
An extraordinary circumstance is a situation which the airline has no control over and cannot be held responsible for, for example, a strike by air traffic control staff, bad weather or a terrorist attack."0
