Yes, the 19th NOT the 11thNo problem you had us all confused for a while, what date did you give to J2, if you gave the 11th, that's probably why they used EC against you.
Either way it looks like you're due compensation as Justice13075 has quite admirably deduced. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

Hi
I will double check on the date we gave them. Do we now challenge their rejection in writing and their reason for that rejection. Also in an earlier reply you mentioned NBA I think, what is that a abbreviation of? Thanks you for all of your help,:T it has been much appreciated.
Thanks Dave0 -

NWNF springs to mind,
That's No Win No Fee, There are some really good firms that can take care of it all for you they keep around 27% of any compensation, I've never used one myself but Bott & Co get mentioned quite a lot by other users.
Good Luck

Please let us all know, If you did quote a non existent flight out to them and they acknowledged a delay by claiming an EC, then that really is another low for Jet2.
Interesting.......After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

Their original response to both me and my partner were that extraordinary circumstance caused the delay. I have just downloaded Vauban's guide which I will read. I will, of course, keep you updated on progress.
Thanks Dave0 -

After months of ignoring both me and the Spanish Authorities, I issued Jet2 with a NBA/LBA, sent Monday 19th and received/signed for by Jet2 on Tuesday 20th.
Finally, they have responded, but by saying they can't consider my correspondence without me supplying either a copy of the booking confirmation or boarding passes. I've given them everything else they've listed - passenger names, booking reference, date of travel and flight number.
They've also 'noted' that I'm claiming for passengers out with my 'family group'. There were two adults (myself and my wife) and three children. My wife kept her name after we got married so we've got different surnames. Two of the children have the same surname as me, one of them has my wife's. We are one family. They want written permission from all the passengers for me to claim on their behalf. This isn't a problem to obtain, but do I have to give it given we are one family? And one of the children is four!
Do I just stick to the 14 day limit suggested by Vauban and then go down the small claims route, or do I enter into a process with them that seems to be putting me all the way back to square one?0 -
Usual Jet2 procrastination. They are still playing the numbers game - keep !!!!ing people off and they may go away.
SHAME ON YOU JET2
Play their game - to a point. If you have given them a booking reference, you really don't need anything else.
Write a simple letter explaining the family situation. Obtain a signed letter from your wife, and get her to sign letters for the kid(s) with her name and you do ones for your(s).
Make this letter clear that the 2 weeks notice of legal proceedings is ticking away.If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
