PM the other poster is probably the way to do this if both posters agree.
Agreed - also you may decide to 'keep your powder dry' as when you need to submit your statement of evidence for the final hearing both parties must do same not less than 14 days beforehand. Taking into account a couple of weekends this only gives both parties around 10 days, if they leave things until the last minute, to react to any statement evidence.0 -
On my 3rd reply from Jet2 and no further forward. Excuse my ignorance, but what is "Allocation Questionaire (N149)", at what stage is it useful and where do I obtain one. Thanks.0

Not really 'useful' but you should receive one 14 days after you have submitted your claim so that your claim can be allocated to your local court.0 -
Erm not quite 111KAB. N1 is form for submitting your claim to county court. Defendant has 14 days to replyacknowledge either admit, counterclaim or defend. If they defend they have a further fourteen days to submit a defence. N149 is a form you fill in from the court more about the court housekeeping - witnesses, experts, further evidence from other party, dates not available etc etc.If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Well I received my response from JET2 yesterday. I had requested in the letter for full details for the reason of delay. Well you guessed it I'm none the wiser "your delay was caused by a safety shortcoming caused by a technical issue.blah, blah, as this could not have been foreseen then this rules as an extraordinary circumstance, therefore no compensation is payable".
No further detail given on the "technical issue" - "safety shortcoming" - or what caused it.
So I guess it's off to court we go.0 -
This really isn't going to help Jet2s case in court and in my case I am going to point out that they continually refuse to provide information to allow a potentila claimant to make an informed decision about taking due legal process.
I hope everybody is making clear in their LBAs that you are seeking the information with a view to legal proceedings? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

I am at the 3rd letter stage, they said it was a cabin pressure problem. We wrote asking for further details. We had a letter today, saying they are reviewing the correspondance and will be in touch shortlyLoved our trip to the West Coast USA. Death Valley is the place to go!0 -

Unless you have contacted the CAA, which you said you were going to do a month or so ago, the only way the airline is going to pay up is to take them to court. Writing yet another letter will not suddenly produce your compensation as I have said from the very beginning.
I did indeed write to the CAA but have had no reply, nor even acknowledgement, to my letter. If I am being generous, I would say it is because they are suddenly inundated with correspondence.
I am going to write one last time to Jet2 saying they haven't even given me the courtesy of an exact reason for our delay like they have with others and that I expect a proper reply and not a fob off letter. Failing any satisfactory answer, I will again confirm I will issue a county court summons - indeed, the forms are mostly filled in.....0
