Yes, if you got a refund that would strongly suggest that you are not noted as a no-show. I would just file claim for compensation and see what they say.0 -
Just had Ryanair refuse my EU claim for an over 3 hour delay. They say it was down to Thunderstorms at Stansted.
Is there anyway of checking this is true and all flights out of Stansted were delayed on that day?
Usually a quick Google search for your date and words like thunderstorm or Stansted will bring something up.0 -
thanks - I had done this and nothing came up for the date (10th August) although lots of other hits for different days...which is why I'm suspicious!
I'll try searching for historical weather reports...
It was in the middle of all the strikes so I wouldn't be surprised if this is just an excuse.0 -

Found a couple of sites that mention thunderstorms in the Stansted area on 10/8 although they just talk about forecasts so not sure how things actually turned out.

Also, this apparently happened at STN on 10/8.

Thanks - I've just checked a couple of historical weather reports and although the two don't completely agree it's clear there wasn't heavy rain or thunderstorms!
Any ideas how I can challenge their decision pls?

Ah yes this may well have been the reason and I wouldn't stand a chance on challenging this as it's outside Ryanair's control. Damn!0 -
I was travelling back from Milan to STN so the outbound flight should’ve left STN at 13.40 so definitely early afternoon.0

Have you put your flight details into a couple of online checkers bottonline and euclaim and see what they say.0
