Thank you for your responses. I have emailed back and said that as they have failed to provide me with the necessary requested information I will be commencing proceedings. I told them in my last correspondence that they had 14 days to provide the information or that is what I would do so I treated that as a NBA. A bit daunted by it all but I'm not prepared to let them fob me off! Thanks again.0

Hi Everyone, I am entirely new to this forum, in fact it is my first ever post !!!
I am about to embark on a compensation claim with Ryan air that dates back to October 2010. We were delayed for 4.5 hours, offered no care and were given no details of the delay when we asked. I was unaware of the Europeon ruling until recently and thought it would be worth a shot.
I am not honesly sure it is worth pursuing except for the fact that we were treated so appallingly. Has anyone got anything from them from as far back as 2010?
It is also interesting to read that people are emailing them. I cannot find an email address - can anyone help with that? I guess it is worth the first letter.

4.5 hours in 2010?

Have you got £ signs rolling around?Be happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -

Hi Rally Girl, your experience sounds very similar to my own in the sense that we were badly treated, provided with no updates, no care etc. but my flight was in July 2009. So far I have had no reply to the two letters I sent, firstly in August 2009 and the second one in Feb 2013. It does seem however that a few people are starting to have success with getting money out of Ryanair, a few with the European Court Procedure and at least one with CAA. Don't expect it to be easy, or to even get a reply, but I would say that the first step is to make a claim via post and go from there. Good luck!May'18 DEBT FREE!

Thanks for advice and support. I will give it a shot. Regardless of whether I have any joy or not I'll send a letter to add to their pile. Maybe they will give customer care a thought in future, although I doubt it !!0

Just received an email from flybe cancelling my southampton nice flight in august 2013 with no explanation and no option to cancel just the outward changed flight, and offering me a seat 24 hrs later or full cancellation.
If i accept I will lose a dayholiday, carhire and hotel cancellation fees and a meet up with a mate in Nice, but when checking the "cancelled" outward flight there are still (more expensive) seats available, so why have they bumped me off my cheaper seat and not offered me one of the other "essential" seats.
Anyone know the rules/laws?0 -
Try putting it in the Flybe thread, rather than here in the Ryanair thread!
At this notice they should be re-routing you.
Just because the flight is showing seat availability does not mean it is operating just that the website might be incorrect0 -
We have been delayed nearly 7 hours today on a flight from Tenerife to Bristol. The reason for the delay, the Pilot rang in sick. Would it be worth trying to claim?0

Wrote to them on the2nd regarding our delay from Tenerife to Bristol on the 1st. Had a e mail cheque in the post for £674.20, in shock at the moment, thought it was 600€ each, I won't argue0
