Cheers. Have just submitted the form, along with PDF of the booking confirmation, screenshots of the boarding passes, and even a copy of their own 'delay confirmation' letter. Will see what becomes of it..0 -
I am wondering if there is any compensation we can claim for this delay, as it was only 13 minutes outside of the 3 hour threshold I've read about for monetary compensation?
Yes, because 2 hours 47 minutes is 92.78% of 3 hours, you can claim that percentage of the compensation.

Glad to hear people have had a quick response. I've just submitted my compensation request and am hoping to get the 400 Euro pay out. My flight from Athens to Stansted yesterday was delayed by 9 hours!
The only trouble is, I don't know why my flight was delayed as no information was given and I didn't get the chance to speak to Ryanair staff because I went straight through security upon arrival at the airport (it was 3am and I wanted to find somewhere comfortable to have a nap!) so by the time I realised how long my flight was delayed for, I couldn't get back to the customer service desk.
I did manage to find a member of (non-Ryanair) staff who gave me a 15 euro voucher to get some food and drinks, but no information.
I'm fairly hopeful as I can rule out most of the scenarios which would be "beyond Ryanair's control" (eg: weather, political events, industrial action). I have a feeling it might have been to do with staffing - I overheard crew thanking one another at the end of the flight in a way that gave me te impression someone had been needed to fill in at the last minute.
Does anyone know how I can find out the reason my flight was delayed for so long?0 -
Please could somebody help?
My solicitor states that I have a case against Ryanair for flight compensation dating back to 2013. Unfortunately (but understandably knowing Ryanair) they have not been replying to solicitors letters. We were sending them to the head office in England. Please could somebody with past experience in legal proceedings with Ryanair forward on the correct address regarding legal proceedings. Thank you.0 -
A little worrying if your lawyer not aware Ryanair are an Irish not English company and a simple Google search would reveal ....
Ryanair Limited
Head Office
Airside Business Park

Hi, I also got an offer for settlement. The hearing is supposed to be held this December but this week I was contacted by Ryanair's lawyers. If I withdraw the claim, they promise to pay me 800EUR (2 persons) within next 30 days for a delayed flight. I am hesitating since to me it seems like I can end up with a piece of paper with their signed promise to pay but nothing else. If they do not honour it afterwards, I will have to lodge a new claim, which will take ages again...Or should I just trust them? Is here anyone with this kind of offer, which was not honoured afterwards. I am thinking about telling them to pay me first and only then I will withdraw the claim. Any experience with this?0

If you have a definite offer, in writing, they would be fools not to honour it. However you can counter the offer by making it a condition that the amount is paid, in full, and cleared to your account, before you cease legal proceedings. Don't let them dictate terms. Have you paid any legal fees or court costs? If so, ryanair must also pay these. You are in control, end of.If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

Wow this forum thread is huge, and such a lot of information it can be confusing.
Can someone get me started - my two daughters (age 16 and 17) were delayed on a Ryanair flight from Girona to Manchester for over 7 hours in July 2015. I have used the Resolva system to lodge a claim on their behalf, and got response back "delay was caused due to an unexpected technical fault, therefore not paying compo..."
I wrote again on 12th August to Siobhan O'Neill saying that I was not satisfied with their response, but since then have not heard anything, no reply at all! What should be my next step?0
