I agree, a credit to his profession and such a wonderful bedside manner. It's not surprising therefore that he is popular with the ladies.0 -

Hello again,
I've gathered my evidence and filled most of the ESCP Form A out, but have 2 final questions before sending to our friends at Sheffield.
1) Section 8 - Reason for claim, do I just mention the facts regarding the flight delay and quote the EC regulation? Or should I also mention the relevant case law as well at this stage?
2) Section 10 - Signature - What do I put in the 'Done at:' field, my address?
Thanks!0 -

netg,
Nearly there:-
Section 8, as you say just mention the facts regarding your delay and that you are claiming under EC regulation261/2004.
Leave the relevant case law out, that comes if RA contest your claim.
Section 10- Done at, wherever you are, in a generic form, for me this would be:- Sheffield, England.
Three copies of everything remember- now, off to the post box you go.Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.

Thanks for taking the time to post all this info in the thread.
I have sent 2 letters to RA to date and received this response this morning after having my letter sent to head office.
Can someone advise me on how best to proceed please?
From the letter it sounds as if I should wait until the outcome of the mentioned cases has been decided but I wanted to know if it would be worthwhile proceeding with my case right now.
Any advise would be great.
"In relation to your claim for monetary compensation under EU Regulation 261/2004; a number of airlines including Ryanair have applied to for a further stay in all cases concerning aircraft technical defects, pending the decision of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) in Van Der Lans v KLM (C-257/14). In this European case the CJEU have been asked to give clarity on the meaning of “unexpected flight safety shortcomings” in relation to delays and cancellations caused by aircraft technical problems.
We await a formal hearing date for our stay application from Liverpool County Court, it being the specialist Court in England and Wales which deals with such matters. In the event that the Court grants our request for a stay, we must then await the judgment of the CJEU in Van der Lans v KLM before any decision on the payment of monetary compensation under Article 7 Regulation EU261/2004 can be made.
Whilst we sympathise with your view, we regret that our position as set out in the letter dated 15/01/2015 remains unaltered. "0 -

Peelay,
Go to my post 569 and start court proceedings using the ESCP.
There is absolutely no guarantee that RA and other airlines will receive a stay with regards to the KLM V VDL case. In fact most learned observers predict it will go entirely against the airlines.
But, if it does go their way, make sure your claim 'is in the system' pending any outcome.
Depending on the timeframe of when your delay occurred, RA could then throw in the expected and odious '2 year timescale to claim' obstacle to your claim.
(Which will be beatable but don't give them this option).
Don't let them put you off, if you were delayed by a technical fault, start your claim straight away.
Good luck and keep going.Successfully sued Ryanair in 2013/14...and have been 'helping' litigants since then.

Hi Guys!
Just thought I'd share my good Ryanair news, I recieved compensation today from Ryanair. It had been nearly a year long fight but we eventually got there before going through the small claims.
Happy days. 0 -

stellastar81,
You are a star well done!
Not the first I've heard about where RA do what they should, instead of making the claimant go to court.
