Flight delay and cancellation compensation, BA ONLY

As has been said there will be nothing for your days holiday. Put your flight details into euclaim and bottonline and see what thy say about your flight. No harm in trying.0

Looking for some advise,
My flight was delayed due to knock-on effect of delay of the aircraft from preceding flight. Preceding flight was delayed due to bad weather.
BA rejects my claim and the reason they give me is the late arrival of aircraft due to weather. CEDR also approved BA's position.
Do I have a chance to bring this case before court? How much does it cost me?0 -
Unless your flight was affected by bad weather, not a previous one which meant that the aircraft was late arriving, you should have a valid claim. Put your flight details into the checker with Bott online and see what it says.0

Bott's flight checker will say any delay over 3 hours entitles to compensation which kind of defeats the purpose of it. EUClaim's flight checker is better0

Thats completely untrue and you should remove your post immediately. Just because you have a personal grudge against them does not give you free rain to be untruthful and mislead claimants:mad:
Here is proof that your statement is untrue.
This is the result of a claim enquiry with Bott & Co for a Ryanair flight that I have already successfully claimed for myself. The delay was over 3 hours but Botts did not accept it.
Your Claim Decision
You need to contact Ryanair directly
If you booked your flight after 26th July 2016 then you agreed to a term in Ryanair's General Conditions of Carriage which says,
"Passengers must submit claims directly to Ryanair and allow Ryanair 28 days or such time as prescribed by applicable law (whichever is the lesser) to respond directly to them before engaging third parties to claim on their behalf."
The High Court has recently ruled that this is an enforceable term and as such you have a contractual obligation to contact Ryanair yourself first and give them 28 days to respond, before engaging the services of a third party.
Ryanair is the only airline that has incorporated this restriction in their terms and conditions and we are currently appealing the decision of the High Court in order to ensure that passengers can benefit from the freedom to use a lawyer should they wish to do so.
We can only process your claim if you have already submitted a claim to Ryanair directly yourself and had that claim rejected.
Please submit the claim directly to Ryanair here.
If Ryanair refuse to pay you compensation then please come back and we will be happy to give you a second opinion and issue court proceedings against them if necessary. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
I have no grudge against Bott and have recommended (and used them) many times. Great company as far as I'm concerned. But their flight checker is still useless. Your claim wasn't refused by Ryanair because they thought your claim was invalid so not sure how that proves my claim wrong?0

OK gents settle down.
No system is perfect.
Maybe we should always suggest EUClaim and Botts?
Are there any other reliable legal firms offering the service? I've never seen or heard of any on a regualr basis. If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
The alleged Ringleader.........0 -
I don't know of any either. EU Claim actually appears to update their database so that's a valuable resource. But I'd recommend Bott over EU Claim if you're looking for a company to take your case on.0

Your claim wasn't refused by Ryanair because they thought your claim was invalid so not sure how that proves my claim wrong?
We were talking about Botts flight calculator and Botts opinion, not Ryanair, you're getting confused again.
The example I gave clearly disproves your assertion that Botts delay calculator always say yes.
You take a risk when you make claims that are clearly and demonstrably wrong about a law firm, be that on your head if you are not prepared to delete your post as I suggested.
Either way, your post is not accurate. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
Fair enough, they don't always say yes. Ryanair claims will be referred back to Ryanair and other flights will be outside their jurisdriction. However, they never say no (IME). So the point remains that this makes the flight checker useless. Again I've got nothing against Bott but people in here really should stop referring to their flight checker as it does a disservice to claimants.0
