Have also received an almost identical rejection letter from Thomson. Very worrying that their default position/defence is based on "hidden manufacturing defects". With so many of these (and we flew on Boeing's latest marquee plane, the Dreamliner 787) shouldn't travellers be getting very concerned about boarding? What have the manufacturers (esp Boeing) got to say about carriers continually referring to these defects on their planes?

The B787 isn't all it's cracked up to be, they have been problematic right from the off.

They are often substituted on the long haul Caribbean routes by the reliable old B767's.

A relative had both his flights substituted by 767's last December after paying extra to fly the Dreamliner.

    They are becoming a joke.

Thomson keep changing there story. Doe's anyone know how I could get info from the European bird strike Data Base to check if this was the case?

Just get on and sue them. Don't mess about with more correspondence. They will have to decide which version they want to run and will have to disclose all relevant dicuments.

Depends when in April 2009 and also helps if date is 'ok' if you live south of the border.

No you're not two late (assuming England), forget our usual advice and miss out the LBA/NBA stage, immediately issue via MCOL for single claimant if multiple claimants download and send of N1. Or coantact a NWNF Solicitor like Botts first thing tomorrow and make sure that they are aware of your delayed flight date.

You're not two late, just do it this week!

    Cheers,

You have 6 years to start legal action against them so I reckon you may just have time depending on the date of your flight.

Read Vaubans superb guide and issue legal proceeding immediately.

    Be quick and good luck.
