As I don't have my boarding passes or booking references, how can I prove my family were on two long delayed flights from Leeds to Barbados, and Barbados back to Manchester.
I have the flight numbers, proof of purchases in the airport lounges and our passports were stamped on the days in question. Thomson s even had to put us up over night in Barbados, but are still refusing to accept my claim as I don't have the correct paperwork.
They must have flight manifests with passengers details on.
Can anyone help?

If you booked via a travel agent they should be able to give you a copy of your booking reference. Good luck. Thomson are only hoping you will give up. They will pay you in the end.0 -
I can't keep it quiet any longer! .
It all sounds very promising and would break new ground for a compensation claim AFAIK.
I really hope it ends well for you after all that you have been through.
Good luck. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -

Hi Andrew,
Bigmama1 is right but it sounds like you won't have too much trouble convincing a judge with what you already have.
Plough on and follow Vaubans superb guide, you'll get there in the end.

HI
I am having the same sort of trouble.
I have managed to get the booking reference numbers - claim dates back to Jun 2009 so time is against me.
I have provided these details to Thomson twice with the template claim form. Both letters sent recorded delivery and signed for. No response to either.
I do not have any proof that I was on the flight I am saying I was due to the time now elapsed. No emails bookings etc etc.
The flight was delayed by over 24 hours due to a technical fault with one of the Giros' - again I have no proof of this.
I could do down the route of a SAR to see what Thomson will provide me, or I could go to the next stage and send a NBA.
Ideally I would like to call Thomsons direct to try and glean where they are-probably just sitting on it as they too will know about the June 2015 deadline for my court action if needed- but finding a correct contact number has been a problem.
If anyone could offer me any advice that would be appreciated.
I really do want to do all I can, but as above I do know that time is not on my side.
Thanks

Try 02476 282 828 or even 0203 636 1605. Ask to be put through to the Flight Delay Team.
Good luck. Don't give up there is always help on this forum.0 -
Hi there, new poster to the forum, looking for advice. Wrote to Thomson in December and January (2nd letter sent recorded, it's been received), have also emailed them. Have not heard a thing. But can I clarify if I am eligible to claim. Delay was over 4 hours stuck at Sofia, Bulgaria exactly 2 years ago. At the time they told us the flight was delayed due to a technical error. Whilst at the airport we were lead to believe that a 'part' was required to fix the aircraft and this part was delayed due to bad weather. I believe the fault was on an earlier flight and our aircraft was stuck in France somewhere (this is probably true as when our flight arrived in Bulgaria it did a quick turnaround and we left). So in essence our delay was probably due to a fault, a delayed part, bad weather and a knock on. Are we eligible to claim and should I just wait another 4 weeks for a reply (giving them 8 weeks) then take it to the regulator? Or should I try calling them (and expect to be fobbed off?)0

Hi AngieM2,
If the problem was with the flight before yours then yes, it was a knock on, so you have a valid claim.
I presume you have read Vaubans superb guide? If not you really should. Then you have to decide how long you want to wait or just send them a LBA to push them along.

My husband and I had a 7hr delay on 2010, I paid on a credit card that I no longer have an account for, and haven't for 3yrs. I had no boarding passes or any proof of travel.
18 months ago I submitted a claim, immediate refusal (more than two yrs ago), I gave up as I was not sure how I could prove it.
Then about 6 months ago I submitted a contact us if you have a complaint form via their website.I did it in my husbands name, told them they could see we were on the flight via the passenger manifest.
I heard no more and thought oh well.
Then two weeks ago I got a letter that started out like a rejection and ended with a cheque for £623.15.
Could not believe it. No court, no battle. Not sure why they caved in!
But glad they did.DEBT FREE since 2011

My very first letter to Thomson was sent on 13th August 2013 and a cheque arrived out of the blue on 13th February. :T The number 13 certainly doesn't seem to be unlucky for us! :j
The cheque was for £1,802.74p and that was 600 Euros per passenger for 4 passengers. The flight in question was TOM050, 5th May 2011, London Gatwick to Orlando Sanford, Florida.
We can still hardly believe it! :rotfl:0
