How much did you get? According to EU 261/2004 You are eligible to claim for 600 Euro per passenger. You may also check how much compensation you are entitle to claim with http://www.tripmole.com/. Note: I have no any connection with tripmole. it is an awesome free tool to check flight compensation and refund amount I have used so far.0

We received £500 total and that was not for having the upgrades to premium we paid for on the flight over

I have read the guide and feel i am entitled and will pursue
I also have claims relating to the knock on effect e.g. lost days holiday, lost day in the parks, car hire etc.
Would that be a separate claim or all together?
Thanks

No claim for knock on / consequential losses. These may be claimable via your insurance but not from the airline.0 -

Hi everyone.
I haven't heard from Thomson my my initial email/website form so I think I'm just going to go striaght in with a NBA.
This may be a silly question but my question is, not that I need to know yet is, the 8% interest you add, is that from the date when your flight was delayed or from the initial contact to Thomson requesting compo?0 -

The interest is from when the compensation is due, so the date of your flight delay. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

You can claim interest in your letter before action but if they then pay the whole of your claim excluding the interest you cannot make a court claim for the interest alone.
This is why we recommend that if you threaten to commence proceedings if they don't pay up or at the very least admit your claim within the period you have allowed them you should get on and issue.0
