Would just like yo say that I have today received a cheque for 3 people of €600 each. I cannot thank the people here enough for all their help and support. A big thank you to Martin Lewis for the template letter. Dont be fobbed off. 1st letter refused any compensation asked via email to relook at and was compensated. One happy lady today.

Well done Karen and its a positive message that they have started paying out again on ECs does this mean they know something we dont regarding Jet2v Huzar as they are due to have a lodged:beer: an appeal by early next week0 -

The CAA is not even a toothless bulldog. At least a bulldog can be scary0

Hi all, just posting to say thanks to all people who gave me advice on this site. I first sent a letter to Thomson after a 24 hour delay from Mexico to Manchester on 12th May. After receiving the initial fob of letter, I decided to write again telling them of the facts that happend(post 5016). After 2 weeks I received another letter from Thomson saying they had looked into my case again, and with it a cheque for £1440.
Now that's what I call a result.:beer::0 -
Well done. It shows that it pays to persevere

I travelled on a package holiday to Aruba on 27th May 2014. the flight was on the dreamliner. Before take off Thomson applied a software update to the aicraft which went wrong. The result was they had to send a car to Luton airport to collect original update discs for the plane and a 6.5hr delay to the passangers. As the flight was nearly 8000km and delayed more than 6hrs what are my chances of getting compensation for this?0

Have a look at the thread "Flight Delay Compensation Important Info - Please check before posting"0 -

Shaun, you have an excellent prospect so make your claim and if Thomson try to get out of it sue them. If you are inclined to feel sorry for them (!) they can probably seek indemnity from their computer people.0
