Delay in arriving at Sanford was 195 minutes.
But the point I really need clarifying is if the allegation was a false one why did they need to soure a replacement crew and do I have a case based on this.
Thanks.0 -

Thanks.
The original matter ("a false allegation against the flight crew") does appear extraordinary. The connection with the replacement of the crew is less clear. At what point was the allegation confirmed as false? Was it simply that, by that time, the original crew would have been out of hours?
Obviously this is an unusual set of circumstances. I think a key point would be when this allegation was made and resolved. The closer to scheduled departure time; the more difficult a case I think you would have. If it was, say, at least 3 hours before then arguably they should have still been able to keep reasonably to schedule.0 -
Was your flight to Sanford on the 30th April by any chance?
We were delayed 3 hours 45 on the return flight to gatwick (due to a delay in the inbound flight) and I was wondering if a claim is likely to be successful.

Interesting to note that part of this looks like the angle they want to take for the defence post Huzar. Maybe later over the weekend.
My own case is stayed at the moment. It seemed like
A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away....
when that happened.
Since that day, the words of the chorus from Joe Jackson's 'Got The Time' have been happily popping (or should that be 'ticking'!) into my head as a kind of reminder that I have ages yet to prepare. (Well, the ever so slightly more up tempo cover version by Scott Ian, Joey Belladonna, et al. has).
But, before I knew it, the various appeals are happening,.. and it's this month!
I expect to back on the road to justice again soon so wanted to get some practice in now. I was all set to have a go at limpit2's post as an easier opener to get me back in the zone but all of a sudden the words of Frost from Aliens are popping into my head
'I got a bad feeling about this drop'.
So, my question to the forum is:
Does anybody know what has happened to limpit2's post about the letter from Thomson that David_e and I replied to yesterday? The above is just my opinon - which counts for nowt! You must make up your own mind.0 -

How strange! The text is in your response:
http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=65409517&postcount=5006
but whether limpit2 has disappeared is another question.0 -

Yes indeed, limpit2's text is preserved for now, but I cannot now find any posts by this person. It makes me wonder if Thomson's CAP department put it there as a tester. If that is the case, then is this a new(?) tactic?
If so, could we imply by this tactic that things are getting very underhand or should the forum be flattered that our opinion really does mean something (even if, apparently, the law does not;)).The above is just my opinon - which counts for nowt! You must make up your own mind.0 -
Wrote to Thomson with regards to flight delay compensation for a holiday to Egypt in 2011. We were delayed over 6 hours, so by the time we arrived in Egypt it was approx 5am which resulted in us losing a day of our holiday and feeling quite down due to lack of sleep. Took my daughter a few days to recover really.
Received reply from Thomson saying we were not entitled to compensation because the holiday was over 2 years ago, whereas Martin Lewis states this is wrong as the law has been changed. Therefore, we contacted the CAA who contacted Thomson and Thomson still say the same so what to do? Is it worth going to court for? Has anyone else been in the same position?
