Hi all, i am new to this, be gentle with me. Hope i am on the wright forum. I was on a delayed flight, flying from Glasgow to Antalya Turkey. Date November 10th 2012, flight was departing at, 15.15. All passengers were at the gate, ready to board, when we were informed of a delay to our flight. Reason for delay, sent our flight to Lanzarote as their plane broke down, needless to say there was a lot of discontent. This resulted in a 6 hour delay, flight left at 21.30 ish. This resulted in getting to our hotel at approx 6am. We, were a party of 4, my husband, daughter, her boyfriend and myself. I cant find any of my flight details, tried travel agent, and T.C to see if they could trace booking. Travel agent cant find them, of course T.C were very unhelpful. I did submit a claim, needless to say they want details, boarding card no or flight no. Told them everything i have said here, i also gave passport numbers so they could check that we were on that flight. Is there anyone out there, that was on that flight, that is able to help.? not going to give up. Thank you0

If you read the FAQs and use the search function you'll see what can be done if you no longer have your boarding cards or other evidence. In any event, as it's less than 2 years ago, I would be surprised if they didn't have your information.0 -
There is information on Flightstats in the FAQs, from that you can see the flight number was TCX37440

Go to Thomas Cook thread - do not start new posts as you will find all the answers you require by reading posts on there. Start off on page one with the FAQ's. If you are having difficulty with this aspect it may be worth giving serious consideration to using a NWNF if you are claiming.0 -

I am just in need of some advice.... My flight was delayed by 3 and a half hours from Manchester to Tunisia on the 30/04/14 and I have been told I am entitled to compensation for me and my daughter.. I have been on thomas cook site and put in the code 261/2004 and provided all the details they asked for..that was over 2 weeks ago and not even had so much as a confirmation email to say that they received my claim.... Is there anything else I need to do like write a letter or something..0

My husband and I booked with Thomas Cook for our honeymoon 01/02/2012, one of the reasons we booked was because of the fantastic flight times there and back. That soon changed when TC contacted me on 31/01/2012 to advise that we would now be flying out at 5pm 01/02/2012, I wasn't happy but there was nothing I could do. We left for the airport, once we arrived we checked in we headed through to departures to be told that there was another delay, we finally got onto flight TCX3614 around 7pm and the pilot told us the reason for delay was that " the plane was being painted in Liverpool and had not dried yet and this is why we're delayed" the other passengers and I were speechless, at least think of a better excuse! One of the letters i received from TC after complaining refers to this as "planned aircraft maintenance, which took longer than expected". I have also sent a copy of this to you.
There was also a delay on my return flight TCX3615 where the fuel pipe got stuck, we left Antalya around 7pm instead of 4:35pm and we landed in Glasgow about 10:30pm instead of 7:30 pm therefore this is also a 3hr delay.
This has been ongoing since 2012 and i have the CAA involved, but I have not heard anything for a while, how do I check toe progress of my complaint, what happens next? I'm confused and would appreciate any help thanks.0 -
CC83 - if delays were over 3 hours you have two separate claims. The CAA are a waste of time so forget them but read the FAQ's on page one of this thread. If criteria for claims are correct you can either DIY or use NWNF - up to you to read various posts and decide if you want to conduct your own claim(s) or use a solicitor. You may wish to check your return flight delay as 2h 59m is an entirely different matter to 3h 01m.0
