Without this.....anyone help??
Travel agent will have it.
If you did it privately you will have to work out when you flew etc & find flight numberPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA0 -
I logged a claim for compo re a flight delay in july this year, to Cuba, the flight was nearly 4 hours delayed leaving from manchester, after not hearing anything for nearly 2 weeks I rang them today, their reply was that the flight was less than 3 hours delayed, I have stats saying differently, In looking in to it further, they are saying because we arrive in under the 3hour delay window because we made up a bit of time we can't claim, is this right.0

Yes ARRIVAL time is important not the departure time. Actual arrival compared with scheduled arrival should be 3 hours +0 -
Yes, it has nothing to do with departure but the time of arrival that counts. If it arrived less than 3 hours behind schedule you have no claim. Please read the FAQ at the start of this thread, all the information you need is there0

If you did actually arrive less than 3 hrs late you have no grounds for compensation. Perhaps you should post the flight code and date do people can try and check the departure/arrival times.0 -

Or why bother reading anything if you can just ask others who've had to do their own legwork?0 -

They were offered the chance of flying to Manchester airport instead with a coach to Glasgow (still meaning a substantial delay). My son and his friend decided to take the offer as my son had injured his ankle and was in great deal of pain. The other 2 decided to wait for the Glasgow flight. However, when my son and friend tried to check in on the Manchester flight, they were told they were not booked onto it! They returned to the Glasgow check in to be told their names had been removed from the flight! Eventually after much debate, they were offered a flight to Birmingham and connecting flight to Glasgow (arriving home about 21 hrs later than they should have).
Obviously the two friends who boarded the Glasgow flight will be entitled to the delayed flight compensation as they were well over 8hrs delayed. What can my son and his friend claim? Are they at least entitled to same as two who boarded Glasgow flight? and are they likely to receive further compensation for the further delay and obvious distress (and pain) caused by Thomas Cook mix up regarding the Manchester flight? Appears rep had taken their names off the Glasgow flight but forgot to book them on the Manchester one?
Any advice would be great.
Delay on Glasgow flight was "technical problem".
I'm looking for some advice on the outward leg of this flight. My parents flew from Glasgow to Heraklion Crete on Tuesday 3/9/13. As with the return flight that Gail mentioned, initially they were told flight was 3hrs delay then this was updated to 8 hrs.
They've used the flight compensation form on the Thomas Cook website and surprise, surprise, the delay on the flight was due "technical problems" - i.e. no compensation is due. However, one member of staff at Glasgow Airport let it slip that the plane due to be used for the flight, flew to Gatwick instead to replace a broken plane there.
Is there anyway to verify this or anyway to get specific information about the "technical problem" that prevented the plane allocated to the flight from leaving Glasgow on time? (i.e. tie them up in specifics so if we go to the CCA or further, they'll have to admit that the problem wasn't with the plane at Glasgow)0 -
Hi there,
Looking for some advice on how much information I should put in the NBA which I am now ready to send.
I received the standard knockback email to my initial application, I then emailed a response asking for more information with regard to what the Technical fault was and also asking for their comments on what we had been told at the airport, ie that our plane was now returning to Gatwick as it had arrived in Sandford on time and that we were to await the incoming plane from Gatwick before returning to Manchester. The response I received was the exact same original email!!
I have since dug around to see how often the incoming Gatwick plane returns to Manchester and vice versa, not overly often!! I was also able to trace back the flights undertaken by the plane which we ultimately returned on and it had originally been delayed over 6 hours on departure 2 days earlier and had since undertaken 3 return flights to Mexico/Cuba. Obviously by using the Manchester plane it allowed for that route to get back on time.
Should I be putting this information in the NBA along with references to Wallentin etc re knock on delays?
Any advice greatly appreciated.

Amen!
Sorry if that sounds harsh to new posters or readers but think about it: everyone else here did the reading and searched the forum for their answers. Why should you expect to be different and have the answers handed to you?0 -

Don't put all that in, save any solid info for court if it comes to that. If it gets that far they will be forced to tell you what the technical fault was. The NBA should just state that you seek a response or a positive result and in if neither is forthcoming by your deadline you will take legal action. That is all. Just a notice for them to take action within a given timeframe, say 14 days, or else.0
