Monarch delays & Compensations. Listed flights denied in O.P.

Hi,
My first post so please be gentle..
I submitted a claim with Monarch for flight delay compensation via resolver, I wondered if anyone had any experience of an airline going into administration while a claim is ongoing?
Timeline:
04/08/2017 – Posted the claim forms to Monarch
29/08/2017 – Received an email saying they hoped to respond to the claim in the 28 days
05/09/2017 – received an email confirming that my claim had been successful and I will be receiving a cheque in the next 28 days (so by 03/10/2017)
I’m assuming its very unlikely they have issued a cheque and even if they have it would bounce now?
Any thoughts welcome 😊

Were you promised that Monarch would pay you compensation (written confirmation) prior to insolvency? If so there is a recent post on the Monarch Complaints Facebook page which indicates KPMG may listen to you https://www.facebook.com/MonarchComplaints0

I have read all the posts but I still cannot find the answer. We were due to transfer to the airport on the 2nd October to fly home to the UK with Monarch. The tour guide told us the bus wouldn't be picking us up and to make alternative arrangements to get ourselves to the airport. We had a taxi there for 60 Euros. I kept the receipts, will I be able to claim that expense back and if so how would I go about it?
Thanks in advance.... 1st time poster so maybe sound a bit noobish0 -

Claim forms will be available from the CAA around Wednesday however they expect you to exhaust all other means (Section 75/holiday insurance) before you submit. ATOL protected clients (general package holidays with Monarch) should be ok - sounds as though you were on a Monarch Holiday.
Payments may well take a long time!0 -
Thank you replying to me, yes I have read this post but it doesn't give me my answer. It is the transfer from the hotel to the airport, normally we go on the bus but as we were booked with Monarch they wouldn't let us on that bus so we had to get a taxi.
111Kab I will give them a call on Wednesday, thank you for the reply.0 -
This is a very old thread which has been resurrected.
It would be best to use the new one which will give the latest advice and information if the current situation is appropriate to you

No airline means you go to the bottom of the creditors pile for any compensation claims. Same when any EU airline fails, or any airline for flights leaving an EU country.0
