No need to re-state my opinion!

  • Resubmitted my claim for ZB238 flight on 1 Nov 2011 which was delayed nearly 11 hours. Sent it by registered mail on 5th Nov and it was signed for on 6th but still not received e-mail confirmation of receipt as per their claim form. Know they are busy (so they say) but this is ridiculous

Has Monarch only emailed those who had claims stayed by the company but not yet gone to the courts, or has anyone with a pending court claim received this email too? My claim was stayed by the court but I have not yet had this email. I'm not expecting one either, as Monarch has completely stopped communicating with me ever since I lodged a court claim (they don't even CC me when they write to the court).

Seems a bit hit n' miss if you got the letter and whether it was emailed or posted to you. Read of two families on the same flight (neither court action) where one family received and the other didn't. Might be worth checking on here as well ....

This letter is for those who have not started legal action. You should proactively write to the Court, copying Monarch in, to request that the stay now be lifted and a hearing scheduled, as necessary.
  • Is there anyway a county court case for someone else that was on my flight can help me out any? Or may I still have to go down that route myself?

You have to go that route yourself however worth pointing out to Monarch you are aware someone else on the same flight has been compensated. If they still ignore then it looks like a small claims court application ensuring, if possible, you get a signed witness statement from the party who have already been paid out.

Same for me, although my claim is not stayed. My wife did get such an email, even though my court claim was on behalf of both of us. Guess I'm blacklisted :(

Really? That is most careless of me. I took the liberty of venturing into the twittersphere today, but I don't think I liked it very much!
