Tut tut Perry, posting a confidential excuse we'vee seen many many times before :rotfl:

This is the first time I've seen them say the circumstances are confidential. Are they allowed to say that? I guess they don't like people posting their letters in this forum.

    Any advice following denial guys.

Please note that the contents of this letter and the circumstances surrounding your delay are strictly confidential.

Maybe lose the flight reference. Not sure what weight the "confidentiality clause" carries but might be as well to anonymise your posting a bit.

Thank you guys , newbie mistake , any suggestions guys if I should proceed would be most welcome, also I have email from Monarch confirming they new about problem before they boarded us, we had fire engine and could see fuel on runway due to leak as we got on. Am I correct in thinking this means they knew about techical issues and did nothing to resolve it and still boarded us ?
  • Anyone tried to claim for the 5hr delay on the above flight number? We have had our claim rejected under Extraordinary Circumstances - fault with the landing gear??
  • Attended court with monarchs barrister and Judge.Been adjourned as case needs more time.
Looking to gather additional info for my claim please-
Does anyone know of any payouts for hydraulic oil leaks-Hope 111KAB can advise on this as there flight was oil leak I understand, would be interested to know what area from please?
Whats peoples views on knock on,s
What evidence have people had from Monarch that they have tried to lease a plane or re-route customers?

I don't want to mention too much about my particular claim as its at court as monarch read this forum but I will hopefully contribute some good back ground info once my case is settled but in the interim if anyone can help with advice I would appreciate it
    Thanks in advance

Has anyone tried to seek compensation for this flight? Would like to keep up to date with other passengers progress or lack of!

As it stands i've submitted a claim form and been advised they will not be offering compensation as the delay was caused by 'extraordinary circumstances'.

    Thanks in advance, feedback welcome!

They are 'allowed' to say it, but how on earth they enforce it is beyond me. Have both parties agreed to confidentiality / non-disclosure in advance? Of course not. Just more desperate tactics from an increasingly besieged company, struggling in the trap they set and sprung for themselves...

Well of course they can demand it. Just as I can demand that all the people on this forum address me as Professor, the Lord Vauban. But frankly neither stipulation is likely to be observed, as both are equally absurd.

It is an interesting addition to the standard template letter though. Sounds like Monarch don't like us talking about 'em and swapping notes. Treat your customers better and we won't have to!
