Monarch delays & Compensations. Listed flights denied in O.P.

Hi all
I need to read through all of this lot at some point, but the above flight from Lesbos to Manchester was delayed for 22 hours 39 minutes.
I do have a letter from Monarch confirming this delay (filled in a card on the plane to get this letter), so I'm going to look into filing a claim...
The one thing I'm wondering is : Do I need to have checked into the airport to make a claim...?
We were supposed to leave the hotel for the airport at 8.30 but the Rep came and told us we were delayed and they'd "keep us informed"...
We found out later that afternoon that we wouldn;t be flying until the followin morning, so would be staying another night at the hotel...
Can I still make a claim...?

One more thing - we were delayed for 5.5 hours going OUT for the same holiday - could I claim for that too - I'm thinking yes...
We were all loaded onto the plane and sat there for an hour and a half before they had to offload us - the plane had a 'techncal fault' and wouldn't allow them to put any fuel on. We were given a £5 voucher each for food, but could I ALSO claim compensation for this too...?Dogs have owners, CATS have STAFF...0 -

WARNING
Please read these FAQ's and guidance, together with the MSE article in order to discover useful information before you ask a question!
What to do next after reading the FAQ's.
Airline bust= no claim
The claim is against the airline, not the travel agent, not the package holiday company, not the administrator, nor anyone else. AIRLINE ONLY. If the airline is bust, you have no-one to claim against. It doesn't matter if the package tour operator is still in business and the airline is not. No airline = no claim.
Anything from 17th Feb 2005 -you can claim but if the airline says no - you can't take them to court.... but check out the corrections to the (inaccurate) MSE article:
