Received some M&S £5 coupons very kindly donated to me (thank you
)
Can anyone recommend how to get the best value?
and does anyone know whether the new Newport store has self scan?
Use self scan ideally.
Multibuys are not recognsed when it comes to your £25 total eg two boxes of grapes are 2 for £4 but £2.99 each so hey will contribute £5.98 towards your £25 total. You can see that a dine in before discounts are taken off is a good one....you are nearly there.
On self scan do the following - scan all your items and before you press "finish and pay" scan your £5 off coupon......then press finnish and pay. At this point all multibuy discounts come off as well as your £5 off leaving you probably about £14 or £15 to pay:Dnever stop doing your best because someone doesn't give you credit0 -

With this in mind, why should the taxpayer have to pay for benefits for people who live in council (or privately rented) houses that are larger than they need? Why should we pay £200 per week for a single person to live in a 3 bed house when they could live in a £80 one bed flat instead?
I know that there are exceptions to every rule and Tweets may be one of them (as are pensioners who are exempt to the new rules), however, the rule in itself is a good one and generally a fair one (in today's climate).
Council's benefit sections do have the discretion to pay extra housing benefit in cases of severe hardship.
Sorry for the War and Peace, my oh works in a Revenues and Benefits dept and I used to, so we both have a very good idea about wht goes on.
Spot on sfsb.
Whilst working for LA came across numerous tenancy granted way back when, kids all grown and left home ,mum and dad left rattling around in a 3 / 4 bed house.
On one occasion did a 5 bed occupied by a single pensioner who kept the rooms "just in case her kids came home" ( all of whom have their own homes ).
Utter disgrace when you go into the hostels and see how families are squashed up into tiny rooms.
Also found alot of pensioners on higher floors, often with no lift, while able bodied younger people enjoy the garden flats and lower floors.
Do agree with the rent reshuffle, why should someone who is not working get rent paid at a higher rate than a working person can afford ?Back to square one, no apg, no comment.0 -

We've had snow today but now it's icy raining. My dishwasher is broken. Thats my 4th appliance in as many weeks:(

Thanks hun, just not sure whether the dine in for £10 is for me, we don't drink so don't really want the wine. Would have loved the £5 meal deal but it looks like its finished.0
