If you can't answer this simple question can you ask your AE Fridge 3 to do so?

How many "Atos doctors" or "Healthcare professionals" are currently under investigation by the General Medical Council over allegations of improper conduct?

Hi atos rep, not sure how to get in touch with you. I reapplied for ESA on 18th Oct following a failed esa tribunal.my original claim was based on sleep apnoea & osteo arthuritus. While waiting for the tribunal I suffered a stroke.
  • Dear Mr
Thank you for your enquiry. At your assessment, if it is a doctor you can ask for their name and GMC registration number, if it is a Nurse, the Nursing and Midwifery Council ask them to provide their name and geographical location, if requested, but not their Registration number

    Ping the ATOS rep.

Can I ask two questions :

.1. When Personal Independence Payment goes 'live', is it the intention of ATOS to remove the word Care from the Job Title of Health Care Professional employees undertaking PIP assessment contracts ?. Such that Health Care Professionals becomes a Care Professional [CP's] ?

.2. The / that HP assessor then reports his findings to his decision maker, the Case Manager, can you confirm that the role of Case Manager will be undertaken by lay people, who do not have any healthcare background or training of any kind ?

Maybe so. I don't doubt there are some who may be fit for some work. But you don't think the amount of people who complain about the WCA that some may be right?

It seems that you can't accept that sometimes ATOS do get it wrong. And as I said before, unless you've been through it, you won't get it. I didn't believe there was so much BS in those reports until it happened to us. Thankfully this time they got it right, but after a hell of a lot of stress, and after being found fit for work. You don't think it's strange that one assessor can find someone fit for work (0 points) and the next assessor can put the same person straight into support group?

Now don't get me wrong. I do believe in assessments for people claiming sickness or disability benefits. I do not think the WCA fits the bill, nor do I think ATOS are capable of performing fair and honest testing.

Tell me something. If ATOS told lies about you in an assessment, would you have any faith in them?
That's what the appeals process (which represent less than 5% of total claims) is for, to cover claims that may be wrong or where new information is introduced by the claimant.

You still don't get it. Why should any company be allowed to get away with telling lies about people. This is not about process is it's about downright LIES. If there was less lying there would be less people having to go to tribunal.

ATOS nor anyone else should be allowed to lie in their assessments. I'm all for assessments, not as they stand now, not this sham they call the WCA and not ATOS lying about people.

  • Just bumping my question!

Sorry but I'm bumping my question again!

I know a few others have replied with answers but my question was for the Atos rep.

    ...........................................

In the first post in this thread MSE Andrea said:

Subjects it can answer questions on include:

    • Health Care Professionals and their qualifications (but not specific individuals)

So I think my question allowed.

    ...........................................

In a effort to get an answer I'll add a few bits:

What training do Atos give to someone who is registered with the GMC as a doctor that will enable them to assess a persons disability?
If you, the Atos rep, need more information I'd be happy to provide it.

Out goes the Atos Rep in comes Fridge3!!!
    :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Not very subtle Fridge!:D

Incidentally just to correct you (again). If you at Atos did your jobs properely in the first place with respect to carrying out sub-standard WCAs and carrying out Pre-Board checks the number of appeals wouldn't be as high.
