  • and the DLA money...so a fair bit more than £56??

Zoominatorone I've just spent several hours reading through all 23 pages of this thread and not all of us claim DLA when unfit for work. So yes we do struggle on a £56. This and your previous post where you refer to people with mental health "issues" (your quotation marks) just wanting a punching bag seems to indicate you have some issues and ill-informed prejudices of your own.
I've come to this forum via a mention on the Benefits and Work site as I thought I may get some answers to questions of my own. However after reading ALL the posts and selective choice of inane replies made by the Atos rep I've come to the conclusion that it’s frankly a waste of my time.
OK so some peeps are blowing off steam and maybe some of their anger would be better directed towards the DWP then Atos; after all they are the organ grinder to the Atos monkey. Yet that anger has accumulated as a direct result of their personal experience at the hands of Atos. What's your interest in this thread other than perpetuating the stigma created by the media's mythical scrounging benefits cheats?

Atos Healthcare aims to respond to DWP with advice on WCA referrals on average within 7 weeks. A number of factors can influence this, including whether information is requested from your GP or the number of cases to be assessed.

Yet again, can I ask you to answer my questions posted at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=58555081&postcount=129, http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=58804025&postcount=369, http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=58827979&postcount=400 and http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=58838835&postcount=435 asking you to explain the decision making process involved in deciding who is called for a WCA. I won't repeat the full questions here but why was I called in for a medical (which is being contested at tribunal) based on an almost identical ESA50 which 12 months previously was deemed enough to grant me ESA without a WCA?

Can you also answer my question posted at http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=58555081&postcount=129 and http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showpost.php?p=58804061&postcount=370 which (in short) asks why you did not ask my Consultant Psychiatrist for his opinion when you received my ESA50?
  • Hi everyone

Just a reminder of the original remit.

Subjects it can answer questions on include:

    • Clarifications about the Work Capability Assessment questionnaire
    • Appointments/Assessments
    • Travel and travel expenses to the assessment
    • Home visits
    • Health Care Professionals and their qualifications (but not specific individuals)

It won't be able to answer questions on:

    • The policy for decisions itself (DWP is responsible for this, not Atos)
    • The appeals process
    • The DWP staff who made the decision
    • Questions that would need your personal details
    • It can obviously only answer questions on the parts of the ESA Work Capability Assessment it carries out.

    Thanks!
Could you do with a Money Makeover?

    Question for the rep...

Does a HCP' specifically a NURSE have to identify themselves with their name and registration number in the same way that a Doctor must tell you his or her GMC number.

Funnily enough Andrea the 2 questions I asked on day of creation were both relating to the assessment and still no reply has been given. Maybe it's about time you pull the thread down or tell the Atos rep to start answering the questions still awaiting a response. You asked them several days ago to answer the older questions that have simply been ignored and I think they answered one or two then went back to answering current posts again. Even then with reposting the questions numerous times they still continue to be ignored.

If Atos are not going to supply answers then maybe the post should be shut down as they are just making everyones opinion of them even worse than it already is.

Is it normal to win an appeal and in less than 4 weeks be sent the forms to start the whole rig ramble again?

    Hi fin7,

if you have received the ESA50 questionnaire this will have been prompted by DWP sending a referral to Atos Healthcare. DWP determine a review period for each claim and will have sent us a referral based on that.
