    Here's a question.

Many doctors and consultants are frustrated because their clinical evidence is disregarded by Atos.

Perhaps this Atos person can explain why Atos disregards this clinical evidence?

Hi Gareth56, the evidence won’t be disregarded as part of the Work Capability Assessment. Anything relevant to the ESA descriptors will be taken into account along with any other information that is available.

Does this work for DLA too ? Does the assessor take into account relevant evidence from medical professionals ?

    Thanks,
    Dee

Didn't that undercover Panorama programme highlight the Atos trainer whose qualifications weren't recognised here in the UK?

I am in no way supporting Atos (and still want them to answer my questions) but without seeing the video again I'm pretty certain that the trainer was a qualified Doctor BUT her specialism was not recognised in this country.

I'm lead to believe that this is quite common and not just specific to the UK.

Hello...To the Atos Rep, Can I just ask How long do you normally wait after submitting the ESA50 form to hear back from Atos/Dwp with regards to passing or needing an appointment?

    Hi Mordred12,

I’m afraid I can’t provide a specific time for different stages as it will vary. Atos Healthcare aims to respond to DWP with advice on WCA referrals on average within 7 weeks. A number of factors can influence this, including whether information is requested from your GP or the number of cases to be assessed. When you then hear from DWP could be affected by the time taken by the DWP decision maker to consider all the available information.

Oh right, so the doctors and consultants are making it all up then!!

This disregarding of medical evidence submitted by doctors and consultants relevant to the ESA descriptors by Atos in favour of their own "healthcare professional's" opinion may go some way in explaining the high success rate of appeals which is costing the taxpayer a fortune.

    I think I know who I believe!

If this is true, Why are people that are fighting cancer, being declared fit for work by ATOS HCP's ?

It's very hard to fake having cancer.

Don't you think that people who have 1-2 years of life left have enough worry and fight on there hands without trying to fight the out come of a ATOS medical that says they are fit for work!

    ATOS Rep,

    3 questions.

    1) Why do so many of your HCP's LIE/Misrepresent the truth on the WCA report?

    2) Is this the reason why so many HCP's are against the recording of the assessment by the claimant themselves?

    3) If that is not the case, why do many HCP's refuse to continue with assessments if they realise they are being recorded?

ATOS Rep, please tell us why ATOS are so keen to close down websites which warn people about their underhand tactics in relation to the WCA? Could these websites be exposing the truth a little too much for your Company's liking?

    Final question.

How is it possible for ATOS to declare a person Unfit for work during a Occupational Health Assessment for any of the Government departments they provide the service to (including the staff at DWP), and then find the same person Fit for Work under the WCA?
[SIZE=-1]To equate judgement and wisdom with occupation is at best . . . insulting.
