Ask Atos Healthcare disability assessment questions

Hi isolation,
Sorry, I read your question as an either/or question and thought that my answer pointed out which was right. No, there is nothing like that. Each complaint is looked at on its own merits. If the complaint is about the report and there is found to be an issue with it this is fed back to the DWP in all cases, not based on any sort of quota or target. The DWP Decision Maker would decide if any action was required regarding a person’s benefit claim.
Ah thanks for the update, much appreciated.
Would it be possible to explain why your own complaints procedures state that after complaint investigation you do indeed have a "target" that 19 out of 20 assessments remain fit for purpose ?
It states
"We should aim to achieve or exceed the following standards of performance, which have been agreed with our Business Units:
...
· 95% of all cases to achieve a “fit for purpose” rating agreed with the Business Unit"
Would you be able to comment on the apparent contradiction between your response and your company's stated procedures ?
Thank you,
Dee

Hi tracey0770
As I’ve said in several posts, there is no bonus or target for Atos Healthcare or anyone employed by Atos Healthcare relating to claim outcomes or the advice we give. We do not get informed of the outcome of claims.
you answerd fairly quickly, so why when we explain our difficultys we score 0 points then go tribunal with all evidence and get our points back0 -

They did ask me to contact them direct, but they will have a long wait.0 -

No because you already know the outcome as your HCP tells the DWP if the customer is fit for work or not.0 -

Hi isolation
The terms ‘targets’ or ‘quotas’, which are what you asked about, can have different meaning or implications for people. We do aim for very few issues with reports, as the quote you provide says. The remit of this thread is to give people guidance on the WCA process in relation to their claim, and the important thing here is for someone to know that their complaint would be looked at based on its own merits. A discussion like this, about wording in documentation owned by DWP, isn’t something that I can do. You will need to go to the DWP with such queries.“Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of Atos Healthcare. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"0 -

Hi dicky dunock
The HCP provides advice to a DWP Decision Maker in relation to the ESA descriptors. The report we provide is one of the things that the DWP Decision Maker can use to decide on an ESA claim.“Official Company Representative

Hi dicky dunock
The HCP provides advice to a DWP Decision Maker in relation to the ESA descriptors. The report we provide is one of the things that the DWP Decision Maker can use to decide on an ESA claim.
But the reports from your assessors that you provide to the DWP Decision Maker are corrupt and only lead to misery on behalf of the claimant.0 -

Don't try being smart! when your HCP writes "can walk 200 metres without stopping(when thats a lie) or "hardly has any pain"(another lie),then in efffect that IS the HCP saying the customer "is fit for work"0 -

Yes but the outcome of the decision is made based on your report.
If it were not, Then why spend the money having the report done ?:jYou can have everything you wont in lfe, If you only help enough other people to get what they wont.:j0
