    Hi tracey0770

As I’ve said in several posts, there is no bonus or target for Atos Healthcare or anyone employed by Atos Healthcare relating to claim outcomes or the advice we give.

    That's a lie.

We do not get informed of the outcome of claims.

If you're just going to keep on lying, is there actually any point to you being on this site?

    Hi dicky dunock

The HCP provides advice to a DWP Decision Maker in relation to the ESA descriptors. The report we provide is one of the things that the DWP Decision Maker can use to decide on an ESA claim.

The report is the only thing they can use.

Yes I did ask about "targets". You stated that there were none:

But obviously your own complaints procedure clearly states that there is such a "target" - it is under a section titled "targets" on page 11. It is clearly therefore a "target".

Please could you answer why you have given clearly misleading and incorrect information ?
One of my KPIs at work is >90% customer satisfaction, does that mean 90% is a target? Of course not, that would be ridiculous. The target is 100%, less than 90% is the point at which it's deemed to be a problem.

Same thing for ATOS, the target will always be 100% deemed fit for purpose as they means they were correct in the first place. Less than 95% is the point at which it's deemed to be a problem, that doesn't make it a target though.

There are real issues with ATOS, this isn't one of them.

With respect this this response is getting aims mixed up with targets. At work, I aim to be perfect - I aim to make correct decisions 100% of the time. One of my performance management targets is 85%. They are different things altogether.

You have said "Same thing for ATOS, the target will always be 100% ..., that doesn't make it a target though." (*I have snipped but I don't think I have snipped anything to change the meaning).

It *is* a target, it is stated as a target. The ATOS rep said that there is no target. I am just trying to clarify it.
  • I applied for ESA in may 2012 - went for an ATOS medical in September and the assessor scored me 0 points - he changed my answers on the medical report - nobody did anything about this. I had to go to appeal court over a month ago and was awarded my ESA in a WRAG group. I am still being paid at the lower rate and I have phoned ESA 10 times now to get my backpay sorted. Everytime its the same answer - I have to wait. One day I was told they would email them - they refused to do it and told me to wait. Then iw as told within 7 days - that was 2 weeks ago. How long does this backpay take and will I be owed from week 14 of the start of my claim in May ??? ESA said it would be from September when I went for the ATOS medical - Help please !!!!

I don't think the Atos rep can answer this question as its not an Atos question, having said that he/she doesn't answer the Atos questions.

All I would say is you need to speak to a manager at the DWP/JCP or pay them a visit.

    Hi jonathanjordan

To confirm what sicknotethefirst has indicated, Atos Healthcare isn’t involved in benefit payments. Only the DWP would be able to give you this information.

Hi, I know that this is off topic for this thread but my ESA was stopped in September following a medical where I was awarded 0 points. I appealed and won a tribunal on 8th March where I was placed into the Support Group. I am still waiting for my money. When I asked the DWP when I would receive the back payment I was told that (and I quote) "it can take up to eight weeks and sometimes longer".

They told me that the Tribunal emails them on the day of the decision and that they had received the email but it had not been entered onto the payment computer. The irony of it all is that someone has entered the results of the tribunal onto one computer system but not onto the other.

With regards to exactly when they will back date the payment to no one seems to know. In my case there appears to be 4 possible dates:
    • The date the DWP decided to re-assess me
    • The date my ESA50 was received
    • The date of my medical exam
    • The date the decision was made to stop my payments
If I work it out based on the day the decision was made to stop my payments (which is the last possible date they can use) then as of today I am owed 212 days of back payment at £34.05 per week (rising to £34.80 per week from yesterday) which works out as a LOT of money. I'm sure that if I owed the DWP money at this rate then they would be charging me interest. It's just a shame that I can't charge them interest.
