What are you people going to do when there is no where to look at these things.

    Everything moves in cycles.

One day someone will open a High Street shop. Perhaps not as we know as them today though.

It's okay saying Long live the web, but what happens when a couple of online suppliers dominate the marketplace?

I would prefer to blow my brains out than share my personal space with grubby other people when I can be home enjoying a good glass of wine. The question is, what are the great unwashed going to do once they cant fulfil their consumer urges on a saturday afternoon? You never know, they may take it a bit easy on the credit card, save a fortune in 1000% markup coffee and actually do something productive for a change.

    Viva la revolution!

    With a full warranty.

There is a good chance camera won't have manufactures warranty although they do offer thier own. But it is not like for like and saving on a uk import with full manufactures support will not be so much.

The site offers 14 day RMA warranty within their period. Prior to purchasing with them, I googled them, I havent had a problem with the kit that is manufactured in the same factory with the same parts..;.

As they have to under distant selling rules. I believe the company are honest and unfront about what they are and if you are happy to buy a grey import it represents a good deal. But a lot of people want to buy genuine UK imports.

I brought a Citroen 12 years ago. It was an import, RHD, via Ireland (Service booked stamped with a company stamp from there anyway) through a supermarket with less, 10 miles+ on the clock. It had the full EU certification and was standard spec for the model. Any recalls had always been handled no problem.

When I traded it in 8 years later the hand wringing , sucking of teeth, can''t be too careful with imports, at the main dealership was pathetic. It would have come off exactly the same production line as a UK first registration vehicle.

I wouldn't have minded but they would only have been banging it through the trade and I doubt anyone would know at next sale.

    What's the difference?

They all come from the same factory?

Glad it's not just me then!

I had a japanese import. Believe there are quite a few in the UK due to them having the driver on the same side!

When I bought it, I was told it was wonderful, as the japanese versions had more bits attached. Indeed, it did. It had a much higher spec, and higher safety specifications.

However, when selling it, to the same franchise, suddenly, it wasn't as good, and would be difficult to sell, being an import and all that.

the manufacturers dont get to fleece the consumer for another 20-30% some fall for the carp the manufacturers push out about grey imports.

imagine if they called them value imports instead?

True but even the best equipment can go wrong and it's mainly piece of mind.
