i dont think the staff and security guards would be that bothered as they potential will be without a job soon

also they will probably be after what they can get to make up for sub standard redundancy that that will no doubt pay
  • Go in and ask, I would be surprised if a battery isn't swapped for you quietly by a friendly member of staff.

Ta - hope so. Going to try tomorrow night after work.

Yup! Most of the major purchases I've made in the last 2 years have been bought online at far reduced prices than the High Street can match. I do use shops, mostly to browse before I take the plunge online. Not only that, I don't have to suffer sales staff trying to flog me an extended warranty I don't want, I just tick the box, extended warranty not required.

Again, very sad to see Jessops in difficulties, but as has been said by many, I think they are a victim of the modern digital age. Many now just use their smart phones to take pictures and others, like me, will buy stuff online because it can often be sourced cheaper. Jessops may be the first major High Street casualty of 2013, but I doubt they will be the last. A huge shame.

Does any one know if Tesco are refunding doubled up vouchers? I only ordered them last week and they have not even yet arrived!

That's 0808 1000 707 - Tesco Freetime who deal with all the 'Deal' queries.

Oh and don't forget - it's option 2 when you get through.
I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard
  • I think it's high time there was a change in the law to prevent firms from refusing to accept vouchers when they go into administration. It's theft, they've sold, a credit note, to a customer as they then refuse to honour that credit note simply to save some money that would be illegal under most conditions why should bankruptcy protect the store with the problem and not protect the customers it's pathetic.

Once a company goes into administration, they no longer exist in customer terms. That's why outside organisations are brought in to recoup the money for the creditors.

There's a simple way to protect yourself - never buy gift cards/vouchers.
  • As above I also have just recently (last weekend in fact) bought a camera on a 6 month credit period and just wondered where all this leaves that arrangement.....?
