Some would argue too large - hence why there are so many stores going into administration! I'm not surprised Jessops have gone - is there really any need for a dedicated national camera retailer when you can buy them with ease in any electrical store or supermarket (and obviously online)?
And though it's of course awful for the staff, I can't see this making the jobs market "a whole lot worse". Employment numbers come in millions, a thousand or so losing their jobs won't make a significant difference to the stats.0 -
I hope they will honour their courses for photographic tuition..I spoke to them this morning to check that I was booked and they confirmed my booking..I was not aware at the time they were in trouble..hopefully it will be ok ..0

Anyone with double up tesco clubcard vouchers for Jessops ( like me - £300 worth!) can have them refunded in full to their clubcard account - need to contact tesco clubcard and let them know and I guess they will tell you where to send themBe the change you want to see -with apologies to Gandhi

I purchased a digital SLR camera from Jessops in July last year. I'm paying it off on credit.
Do I still need to continue the payments?0 -
Any advice please??
On Sunday I walked into Jessops and purchased a Panasonic Lumix camera. After saving really hard for a year and a half, I had managed to save enough for my dream camera. Having researched extensively and waited for the sales, I made the decision to order online from Jessops and collect in-store, as they matched the cheapest price online and I thought it would be good to buy from a specialist camera shop.
I thought the collection from Jessops went smoothly (although I was a little distracted due to running slightly late for an appointment later on). It wasn't until I got home that I realised rather than charge me their 'exclusive order online' price, they had charged me their in-store price, which is significantly higher. I have emails that prove I ordered online at the online price, so have been trying to ring them to sort it out but only got through to a very unhelpful customer services person who told me to go back to the store.
Will they still honour the online price that I have proof that I ordered it at? And the 3-year care plan that I also purchased (paperwork says it's provided by warranty specialist Domestic & General) - will that still be valid?
Any thoughts....?0
