I dress from the basket, undress and throw into washing machine, wait for a full load then wash/dry, put them back in the baskets .

This, plus a floor-robe, is perfectly normal. Isn't it?

I did washing up again. I have considered paper plates or going on a diet to avoid this in future.

Is there another method then?? Isnt that what multiple laundry basket ownership is all about...............

I dont have any, what I do have is a seemingly endless supply of IKEA blue bags... they take a washing machine load, and fold up nice and small and out of the way untill needed to carry washing out to garden (if fine) and use the poppers to secure round the arm of my garden bench to stop the blowing away. Also easy to carry folded laundry back uostairs.

However, I still hanker after a washine machine and drier in a cupboard on the landing, like the house we stayed in when in Florida. Who in their right mind drags dirty washing diwnstairs to wash it, only to have to drag it back upstairs again?
Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.

I had to iron our curtains after they were washed and afterwards I commented to OH that I thought the duvet cover needed an iron too.
Wisely, he made me immediately lie down as he was sure that I had had a blow to the head.

There have been tears; tears of laughter from reading this thread. I don't know what came over me, however after reading this thread for most of yesterday I felt somehow compelled to go and clear out the remains of my holiday gear this morning and put the suitcases away.

My apologies for this moment of madness, I am sure normal service will resume tomorrow. ;)

Here's a tip: if there's any danger that I might have to do the washing-up myself I hide any really greasy pans in the oven and then bring them out and leave them on the stovetop for my OH next time he's washing-up.

Just had friends round for a meal, served starter on side plates as full of cold and refused to have to wash starter plates to then use as dessert plates (don't have enough obviously) ....everyone seemed cool with this to be fair, however did shove a descent amount of wine down them first.

The !!!!!!s left me with the washing up.......HELLO.......normally we all muck in and tidy after the chaos. just had to wash 18 plates, 10 dishes, 5 pans, and 22 glasses...!....may have plied them with too much alcohol that they forgot to help.

    Mental note to self.

Edit, and a couple of coffee cups.
Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.
