    we have had to clean the bathroom floor this evening!! however only because the bleach bottle fell of the bathroom shelf and split - we had to clean it up as the tiled floor was like an ice rink and the slippy liquid was going to cause an acident ( and the last thing i wanted was clean footprints all over the house!!)

    Love it :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    As I was dyeing my hair and eyelashes yesterday, I notices the yellow lino was grey from dust and fluff.

    I couldn't be bothered to go into the kitchen (the next room) so I used up the last of the Huggies baby wipes to give the floor a wipe.

    Is cleaning the bathroom floor slobby, or should I go to the Flylady thread?

    Cuz they scare me.....:( :o
    :huh: Don't know what I'm doing, but doing it anyway... :huh:

    Many years ago, my father decided that spraying the floor with all purpose cleaner and wiping it with a damp mop was the way to go. I think he may have invented the Swiffer and not realized it!

    I'd have to get mine out of the back of the cupboard to check... kind of a dry wipe dusting flat mop... thing.

    I've got a surveyor coming next Friday to check the flat for a remortgage. Is it so bad that when they offered me the appointment, my first thought was '!!!!!!, got to tidy up now'?

    In anti-slob news, I did do washing up last night. By hand, not by dishwasher. I wiped down the bathroom too. I had to sit down for a bit afterwards. :)

    I also discovered that my laundry pile is a lot neater if I just strip off in the kitchen and put everything straight into the machine.

  • Bad influence you lot ... baaaaaaad. You give me ideas.
    I came back from holiday recently and in a fit of fighting off jet lag I did all the washing the very afternoon I got back. Three lots it was, mega effort. I am still dressing myself from the dried out bundles in the wash baskets that I got straight out of the tumble drier,and which have sat on the utility room floor ever since. When I said 'I came back from holiday recently' ... three weeks ago. That's quite 'recent' isn't it? I figured if the clean washing was in the baskets and still in the utility room, they were kind of put away. And it's turned into a recycle effort. I dress from the basket, undress and throw into washing machine, wait for a full load then wash/dry, put them back in the baskets just sat there waiting on the utility room floor. I'm wondering why I have wardrobes, and why they're so far away from the washing machine. My husband says he's waiting to see how long I can last before putting them away. Not even a visit fromt he cleaner has shamed me into doing it, cos they just look like 'just done' loads.
