Dog hairs at the edges of the carpet and in corners make an excellent natural draught excluder. No drafts in my house.:DThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Interesting how many of us seem to be pet owners........Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

Yes, having animals makes things twice as hard.
The room i am in at the moment has a laminated floor. I needed to get on my hands and knees earlier to clean the floor. With one dog who was firmly wedged underneath the space underneath under the desk and the other plonked in the doorway i thought i'd have a bit of trouble shifting them. In the end i shouted 'TREAT' and they went running down the stairs as fast as their legs would carry them.:rotfl:
Then once they demolished the treat they lay where they were. On a damp floor.:mad:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
If I'm ever on my hands and knees my dogs take it as a massive playtime cue..... THEN try doing anything other than trying to stay upright...Do not meddle in the affairs of dragons, for you are crunchy and taste good with ketchup0

I tried doing an exercise DVD a few years ago (only the once!) did OK until I had to lie on the floor for the tummy exercises when both my cats decided I was going to sleep on the floor so they got on my tum and promptly went to sleep.

A challenge for fellow slobs.
I'm running low on roll up filters, so have delved into my handbag.
With only 5% done so far, have found £6.39, and the oldest supermarket receipt 15th November 2012. (No filters - so must crack on!).
Should have weighed the bag before and after, but I'll probably get fed up before I finish properly.0 -
I can beat that - I have no idea where it came from, but I found a very faded receipt on my kitchen floor dated November 2003.Erma Bombeck, American writer: "If I had my life to live over again... I would have burned the pink candle, sculptured like a rose, that melted in storage." Don't keep things 'for best' - that day never comes. Use them and enjoy them now.0

Unfair advantage Mcculloch29, we've only lived here since 2006.
But kudos to you! :T0 -
Oh Gawd. My mother again. They sold the farm in Devon in 1984 and moved back to Kent. In the scullery at the 'new' house was a built in Welsh-type dresser and my mother stored her grocery stash on it.
My father rang me up about 15 years later and asked me to defrost one of her freezers because she couldn't close the lid due to ice flowing out of it like a glacier, so I thought I'd clear a bit of space on the dresser to rest various things on while I was working.
I found rather a large number of bottles, tins and jars of stuff that had price tickets on from Trumps (of Sidmouth) and 'The Consumer Market', also of Sidmouth amongst the rusted tins etc etc.
My mother, I now realise, was an Olympic level SlobLady, while I am just a complete amateur.Better is good enough.0
